  1. Just send the new form, unless they asked you for anything else
  2. Thank you guys! Can I respond to the RFE both online and through mail? Iv heard of cases where the applicant responds to the RFE online, then the deadline passes, and their case gets denied because USCIS claims that they never received it. Can I respond to the RFE both online and through mail?
  3. Thanks guys! I am doing the new form right now. For my old form, I put 'NA' by places i would have left blank. Has anyone else done that? Is it okay?
  4. Hi. So I sent in my AOS 1 week before the 23rd Dec change to the I485 form. My PD is the 22nd. A few days ago I got an RFE. This is the reason: You have submitted Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, and ALL pages of the form are not present or of the same edition date. Submit a properly completed and signed Form I-485. All pages must be present and of the latest edition date. The latest edition of Form I-485 can be found at the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov. Now I scanned the forms before I submitted them, as well as keeping the original PDF for my own records. Going through the forms that I submitted, I noticed that page 1 of I485 is missing 3 questions from the bottom, and the edition date and numbers are missing. It got cut out likely because I was printing on A4 paper, and didn't change the print settings to print as A4. All the other pages are fine. Just missing barcodes. Now I am not sure whether I should submit the old edition of the form, or the new one? The RFE states that I must download the latest edition on the USCIS website, but my PD is before the 23rd Dec change came into affect. The USCIS website states that if I submit my case before the 23rd, you HAVE to use the old form, or they will reject the filing. I am so confused as to which edition of the form I should submit. I tried contacting USCIS through their website inbox thing, and no reply yet. And when they do reply, I highly doubt that they will be helpful. Any help is greatly appreciated!
  5. The barcodes ARE missing from the form! I cannot for the life of my find a clean version of the old i485 form.. I think the file got corrupted in Adobe since I might have opened it in my browser first, which got rid of the barcodes
  6. I submitted a i485 package and my PD is the 22nd Dec. My biometric appointment is actually tomorrow (im having trouble sleeping!) But I got an RFE stating that some of my pages are either incomplete or are not the current edition. They then gave me the link to the USCIS website to download the latest i485 form. I have till April to respond.. Thank you though. I will have a look at the link you sent after biometrics tomorrow and will try to sort it out!
  7. Thank you! Im so scared to get another RFE because I recently submitted my i485 before the 23rd Dec deadline, and the RFE was because they want me to redo the form and send them the latest edition.. When their website clearly states that if my package is postmarked before the 23rd Dec, we HAVE TO use the old form.. These people dont even follow their own memos!
  8. Oh my god! How could we have over looked this! Our case has been pending in Nebraska for almost a year (PD 12 Feb 2022). Is this going to have any serious impact on my case?? How can they even allow us to submit the form without that checked??
  9. Hi. Did you file online? On 6a, she signed her name. It's 1a, under "petitioner's statement', "I can read and understand English, and I have read and understand every question and instruction on this petition".
  10. So we filed the i130 (USC filing for a spouse) in Feb 2022. Receipt notice is from Texas but USCIS Emma live chat says we are now in Nebraska. Yesterday I downloaded the PDF from the website and was reading over it, and I noticed a possible mistake that might be very bad. On the PDF, part 6, "petitioners statement", 1a. It says "I can read and understand English, and I have read and understand every question and instruction on this petition and my answer to every question." Now on my PDF, that box isnt checked! I do not remember getting that question while doing the form online. If anyone has filed their i130 for spouse online, please check if your PDF has that box checked or not. If it is meant to be checked, and I just made a mistake while filing it out online, how can I correct this? How bad is it? Please see attached screenshot. Thank you
