  1. Hi Alexis! Congratulations on receiving the date! I am very happy for you, you are almost there!! I am sorry for the late response, I wanted to give you some insight of how everything went… As you know, my appointment was on the 25th. I am not from Madrid, so I traveled there twice, a week prior to the appointment, to get the medical exam done, and a second time for the interview. The medical examination took around 2 hours total, they will give you directions to a second location about 20 minutes away, for the x-ray. In the embassy, I spent less than 2 hours. Overall, the whole process went very well. The interview it self took around 10-15 min, they will call you 3 times by your number. First to check the paperwork, the second time to take your fingerprints and the last step is the interview. I promise It is nothing to worry about, they asked very basic questions and every one that I encountered was very nice. Just make sure to have all the paperwork in order and to get your medical examination with enough time for the embassy to receive the results. They will keep your passport and send it through post, if you haven’t yet, you must register and provide the address before the interview. I received my passport at home, with the visa yesterday! 🥳 It only took over a week to arrive. I will be, finally, reunited with my husband on the 15th 🫶🏻 I wish you all the best!! 🍀🤞🏼 Kind regards, Sarah
  2. Hi Alexis! I hope you are doing great 😊 Today we have received the appointment for the interview!! It will be on the 25th of April. I hope you get yours soon! 🤞🏼 Kind Regards, Sarah
  3. Hi Alexis, Congratulations in getting DQd! We are still waiting for an interview date, hoping to hear something soon 🤞🏼🤞🏼 I haven’t found any other thread for Madrid, so the only guidance I have is Melissa’s. As soon as I get any news I will share with you here. Best of luck!!
  4. Hi Melissa, I am very happy for you! Congratulations on getting through everything!! Thank you so much for your answer and for your good wishes, I can’t wait to finish the whole process. I wish you all the happiness in the world for this new chapter!! 🫶🏻
  5. Hi Melissa, I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season 🎄 How was your interview? We got DQd 2 days ago! I am so happy, can’t believe we are finally moving forward with the process. Do you have any advice? Did you have any surprises? Thank you beforehand 💐
  6. Thank you!! Wishing you all the best too!! We actually received 3 emails; 1 with the status change and 2 (duplicated) with the DQ notice. The email said all documents have been checked and accepted. In the ceac page it says accepted next to all documents and we had 2 messages (duplicated) that said “Documentarily Qualified”
  7. Hi Everyone! We received the DQ email last night!!! I hope you all get through this part of the process soon 🤞🏼 good luck to everyone!!
  8. Thank you! 👏🏻👏🏻 Do you guys think they will keep up the pace over Christmas time?
  9. Thanks! Of course you may… We submitted the I-864 form and 3 years of tax transcripts. They accepted them, however asked for my husband to submit a proof of employment. I think is because he started to work in US on summer this year. He is American, but had never work there as his parents moved to Spain when he was a teenager. Now we have submitted the job offer letter as well as pay-statements that proof he exceeds the HHS Poverty Guidelines. I hope this is good enough and we get DQ soon 🤞🏼
  10. Hi Everyone! We submitted all docs on the 13th of October. On the 26 of November we received an email of a case updated, they accepted all docs and requested more proofs of income from petitioner. We resubmitted what the asked for on the same day (26th of November). I hope they don’t take over a month again to review the case. This process is very draining 😔 Best of luck to everyone 🤞🏼 I will keep you all posted!
  11. Yes, it was the 13th of October. Thank you very much for the help, we really appreciate it!
  12. Hi Aerodnight, Thank you for answering. We submitted for the second time on the 26th of November. I tried to find the submission thread you mentioned, but was unable to, would you please be so kind to share the link? Much appreciated!
  13. Hi Chancy, Thank you for answering. I guess we haven’t 😔 the only messages we have received are the ones mentioned above. Do you know how long they could take to review the case again? Do you know if there is a link to keep track of the process? (Like the NVC timeframe page) Much appreciated!
  14. Hi everyone! After over a month of waiting we have finally heard from the NVC. The email said there had been an update on our case and to log in to the webpage to check. All documents have been accepted but we had 2 messages. 1- Please submit petitioner’s Evidence of Income. For more information, visit https://nvc.state.gov/fin 2- This case does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p. My husband has now submitted pay-statements proving his income exceeds the 125% of HHS poverty guidelines. Having said all this, I have few questions I hope you guys can help us with: - Is the case moving forward to the interview scheduling step? - Does the case need to be reviewed again? If so, do they take long to do so? Or will the documents be reviewed at the interview? - Are we supposed to get an email stating the case state? - Should we be worried? Thank you so much for your help!! Kind Regards, Sarah
