  1. I suggest you contact the bank or probably you can also put in the notice of the expected spending in the app. I did that and it went through without a problem.
  2. This is the list from my cover letter: Documents for Petition: Application fee of $750 with Form G-1450 (Credit Card Authorization). Completed Form G-1145 (E-Notification). Completed and signed Form I-751. Copy of Permanent Resident Card (front and back). Copy of our marriage certificate. Copies of passports for petitioner and spouse. Evidence of Bona Fide Relationship: Driver's licenses showing shared residence. Tax returns for 2022 and filed jointly for 2023. The petitioner had no income after becoming a lawful resident in 2022 and her identity was not yet established so tax return in 2022 was filed separately. Joint bank account and back transaction records. Spouse’s credit card summary showing petitioner as an authorized user. Two affidavits of support. Joint apartment lease agreement. Copies of offer letter and student ID from the University of XXXX. Faculty/Staff IDs and offer letters from XXXX for both of us. Life insurance policies naming each other as beneficiaries. Spouse’s health insurance listing petitioner as a dependent. Joint AEP electric bill. Columbia Gas and Spectrum Internet bills showing our names and the same address. Photos with family, friends, coworkers, and shared activities. Cards from family and friends. After I sent the package, I noticed some people talked about a notice enclosed in the 2-year green card envelope. It says, "Use this tear-off portion to speed your application for an extension or replacement card." But it was too late for me to include the notice in the package so I uploaded the scanned copy to the document section after my case was added to my online account. I'm not sure if that helped but make sure to include the notice if you're about to file your i-751. Let me know if you have any questions!
  3. I can't believe I'm here to share an update after only a bit over 2 months. My case just got approved!!! They received my package on 10/2/2024 and my case is approved today, 12/6/2024. My service center is NBC. This is insane. I can't believe how fast it is!!!
  4. I used Citi card. It's a Mastercard. I'm not sure if they also have AI as gate keeper but they didn't say I couldn't put in a notice before the charge occurs. They even told me I could do that without calling in the app!
  5. I wanted the points so I decided to go for it 😆 I read a lot about other people’s experiences so I did notify the bank after I sent the application. I was pretty worried that it wouldn’t get through. Luckily it worked out well at the end!
  6. Sept 30 - Application sent Oct 2 - USPS delivered the package Oct 4 - Credit Card got charged. Received Receipt # in text message from USCIS. Oct 16 - Received 48-month extension letter in mail. Added the case to my USCIS account. My case status has not changed since Oct 2. Hopefully there will be some actions taken such as biometrics in the near future. But at least I already got extension letter at hand!
  7. Hi all, I'm currently in the process of DCF i-130 with exceptional circumstances in Taiwan. Thanks for all those who are generous about sharing the experiences so that I can feel more comfortable in the process and know what's gonna happen next. I've never seen anyone sharing DCF experience in Taiwan so I think I'll contribute here and help those who also qualify for DCF. Exceptional circumstance: Short notice of position relocation My husband (then boyfriend) got a job offer in early July, and the position will start from Jan. 1, 2023. Prior to this, he's been in Taiwan for work for almost 5 years. We want to shorten the time of being apart as much as possible so we first consulted a lawyer about what options we have. After realizing we are highly possible to qualify for one of the exceptional circumstances, we decided to try DCF by ourselves since our situation is quite straightforward. Here is the timeline so far: Aug. 26, 2022 Lawyer consultation. Aug. 29, 2022 Emailed AIT(American Institute in Taiwan) if they accept DCF. Aug. 29, 2022 AIT replied an hour later to ask for the explanation of the exceptional circumstance in detail and submit it along with copies of our passports, his Taiwan ARC, I-130, I-130A, proof of his exceptional circumstance, divorce decree (if any), and marriage certificate. Sep. 14, 2022 Got married. Sep. 22, 2022 Emailed AIT the proof of exceptional circumstances and the documents. Sep. 22, 2022 AIT emailed back an hour later and scheduled an interview for filing I-130 at the embassy a week later. Oct. 03, 2022 Interview at AIT and submit the documents. The interviewer said that our documents look good and we shall receive the notice for the next step a week later. Oct. 11, 2022 AIT emailed us to provide the case no. and the next step. AIT told us to email them as soon as DS-260 filled online and the required documents (I-864, birth certificate and police record) are ready to schedule an interview. Oct. 12, 2022 Emailed AIT to notify them the completion of DS-260 and the required documents are ready. Oct. 13, 2022 AIT emailed back and scheduled the next interview on Nov. 8. This is the timeline so far. I'll update it as the progress moves forward. So far everything is going fast and smoothly. AIT is very responsive and on time. The best thing about submitting documents in person is that they check if you miss anything required. The interviewer is nice and friendly. He asked me if I'll stay in Taiwan for the next 6 to 10 weeks. Then when we ask how long the whole process is going to take, he said around 4 to 6 weeks. I'm excited to know if this process is really going to go through before 10 weeks mark. But of course we need to have everything ready for the next interview to avoid getting RFE. Feel free to ask me any questions. Hopefully this post can be helpful.
