  1. Hi everyone. We had our interview last week so I thought I would put a little update on as I franticly searched for something similar before ours. We arrived at the consulate (Doha) about 45 mins early but sat in the car until 30 mins before. Went through a few different rooms with various security before reaching the final room that looked like a doctors waiting room with 4 windows/desks. We had taken a number from the first pre check room and she had given us a list of original docs we should have with us. Called to the first desk about 30 mins after and asked for original docs, he seemed to just process those on the computer and stapled a few things together before asking us for our fingerprints. Told to take a seat again and that we would be called again shortly. We then waited around an hour before we were called to a desk (you can hear everything in the room too) by this time I was feeling the stress and wanted it over and done with. This time it was a different man who seemed happy and had a friendly face, he asked my husband how long he had been in his profession? Where in the US we planned to go? If he had a job offer? to which my husband replied no, we don't need one with EB2. Happy with everything we said he then just gathered the big pile of paperwork infant of him and said "looks like your all set" He then said the visa in the passport could take up to 2 weeks 😱 my husband needs his passport for work so he explained that and the guy kindly said come back tomorrow at 2pm and we will try and get them done for you. The next day we all went again around 1.30pm worried that we wouldn't even get through the door without an appointment but we did. The lady on the desk in the first room said only my husband needed to go any further, myself and my daughter just sat there and waited. Around 30 mins later my husband appeared with 3 passports with visas and 3 brown envelopes 💗 fair to say this was a huge relief. We are flying to New York next weekend to enter. Its been a rollercoaster ride and we are glad its all done. Good luck to everyone on here, this forum has helped me a lot!!!!
  2. Hi.. our timeline is as follows Priority date: 02/22/22 DQ: 05/04/23 IL: 08/27/23 ID: 20/09/23 Interview location: Doha, Qatar
  3. Thanks for your reply. No I agree there isn't a practical reason why this is our plan, its just worked out this way that our IL has come so close to a trip we've had planned for a long time and would now unfortunately loose every penny for if we cancelled. Just trying to work out the best solution.
  4. We have just received our IL last night so they are defo scheduling appointments. Ours is EB NIW.
  5. Just received our IL for Sep 20th. Myself and my husband already have an anniversary trip booked 10 days later and are not taking our daughter who is included in our petition. Can we still enter the US on a ESTA visa just as a tourist and then enter again later all together as a family later to activate the visa or will this not work?
  6. Hi, which type of Visa are you? we are also waiting for our IL in Doha for EB NIW.
  7. Great question... would love to know the answer to this too!
  8. Thanks for the info. Just curious as the PD date for EB2 has now retrogressed as per the May bulletin to 15th Feb and ours is after that so we are now not expecting a IL anytime soon 😔 so annoying, feel like its one step forward and 10 back all the time. good luck for your interview, sounds like your finally at the end!
  9. This was our longest wait unfortunately, we waited 7 months before the case was sent to NVC after approval and then another couple of months before we got the welcome letter. Hop yours doesn't take that long 🤞
  10. congratulations. Those of you who have got an interview date already was your priority date before the 15th Feb?
  11. So from the 1st of May my PD will no longer be current, does anyone know how long it usually takes for them to update this? I need a new passport but don't want to send it off to be renewed and then get the IL 🤔
  12. Can you add my info to the table.... DQ 4th April 23. PD 22nd Feb 22. Interview location: Doha
  13. No IL yet 🤞hopefully soon
  14. Great news on your IL @IRFUN 😄 Hoping we don't have long to wait as Doha don't seem to have too much of a backlog!
  15. We've just got DQ 😄 4TH April!!!
