  1. Hi 👋🏻 I’m back after almost two years! I had posted before when I working on the K1 Visa for my husband. But because of the length of the time we were expected to wait besides what we had already waited, we decided to reconsider living in his home country and send a letter to USCIS to withdraw our pending application. But currently my dad is undergoing cancer treatment and would like to move back to the states as soon as possible (if possible December 2024). Does anyone have experience with applying for their spouse’s visa from a tourist visa (B2) by doing an adjustment of status? Would having previously applied for different visa (K1) affect any future applications? Would really appreciate any insightful information and feedback! Thank you! -Jayni, couple in Japan
  2. Hello everyone! I am completely new to this. I tried reading many forums as I could in regards to this subject, but noticed it's not the most talked about subject on here. When trying to look on USCIS' website, I felt I couldn't enough information as to how to write the letter or even a specific mailing address to send to withdraw my application. The thing is my fiancé and I plan to simply get married in Japan and skip the long processing times so that I can petition for a spouse visa instead. We thought it would be better dealing with it together rather than dealing with long distance :) But now I'm concerned if it would affect him in any way since I previously petitioned for a K1 visa? And I'm not sure if I even sent it the correct address?? Which is also frustrating us :( I had P.O BOX 30111 Laguna Niguel, CA 92607-0111 as the address on the Notice of Action I last received by mail. Would this have been correct? It's been 2 weeks since I sent it (priority mail, usps) and our case on the website is still the same. Should I be worried? Any help will be greatly appreciated! :)
