  1. Congratulations! It seems June AOSers are quiet. Maybe not much progress.
  2. I am also a June-filer. I sent in AOS, EAD, and AP applications for K2 and me in June, and my combo was approved in July. However, K2 still has not received her EAD as of today. Please, what do you think is the best way to expedite this? We tried the e-request in the K2 USCIS online account but were denied due to significant financial loss. K2 needs EAD to get an internship; she is a junior in college.
  3. Thanks a lot for your answer. K2 is 20 years old. We did send an e-request to her USCIS online account together. I see two A-numbers for K1 and K2 separately on the letter from the Consulate, so I input the A-numbers for me and K2 in our AOS files. Mine was the same when I got my EAD and AP combo card. K2's dad is my ex-husband. He had an immigration case before with my daughter as a dependent, but it didn't go through.
  4. I am the K1 mom, and I tried to expedite EAD in the K2 uscis account that the K2 daughter needs to work for financial independence for in-state tuition but got denied. K2 did her biometric with her Dad's (my ex) immigration case before and had two A-numbers, one from K2 and one from her Dad's immigration case. Can that be the problem? I did send another letter to USCIS to use the A-number of K2 case. Then I got a weird reply. "We have reviewed your inquiry and need to advise you that we are not able to provide the information you have requested. Specifically, it is not clear that you are the applicant of the requested information or have the legal authority to act on behalf of the applicant. Due to rules set forth in the Privacy Act of 1974, we cannot discuss the issues or share information concerning the immigration status of the applicant in this case, nor can we confirm that he or she has any action pending with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)." Can anybody advise what is the meaning of this USCIS response? Do we wait or do anything? Thanks a lot!
  5. I will file soon for myself and my daughter, would you please share your final cover letter? Thanks.
  6. My daughter and I will apply for K1/K2 at the consulate soon. Can she continue her US college after returning with K2? She is in F1 status now. Will her F1 be canceled by the consulate or by the college? Thanks.
  7. Do we need to prepare two separate I-134s for K1 and K2? Thanks.
  8. She only has one week's holiday for spring break. The winter break is longer for three weeks. Considering the holiday closing, probably just go ahead with the earliest time.
  9. Yeah. I understand. I want her to return to the US with her current F1 student visa if it is valid after getting K2. Yeah, I want to know better.
  10. Sorry, I am still confused. Will her current F1 be canceled after getting K2? Is it possible to Let her return to study in the US with F1 first, even after getting K2, and return to China in March 2024, and we go together to the US with K1/K2 then? I am tied up with work on my side.
