  1. Yes. From what I see, that was the only error. I just thought they would tell you the specific reason? I'm just a bit worried about resubmitting it with just that change since it says it can only be corrected once without the whole thing getting denied and having to spend all the time and money doing it over again.
  2. Hey Everyone, We got an RFE on the I-864 Affidavit of Support, but they did not specify the reason at all. It starts with "You did not submit a properly completed and signed form..." followed by two pages of basic instructions. I've combed through the form we submitted and noticed a mistake with the household size due to an issue with the PDF reader. I couldn't include myself and forgot to correct it with a pen, so it says a family size of 1. Would this be enough for an RFE? I am a US citizen but had been living and working in my Wife's country for the last several years. The only other reason I could think of is that although I filed taxes last year, I was on a foreign contract, paid in their currency. I had the tax documents but not a W2 providing the income. We have since moved back to the US, so I sent in a letter from my company stating my income and recent pay stubs. I am a high earner, far above the required income, but I had only been working in the US for a couple of months at the time of filing. Does the household size seem to be the reason, or is it something else? Any advice is much appreciated! Thanks so much!
  3. Thanks for letting me know. Something else came to mind. Do they charge the card number I submitted with it before doing anything? Will I end up having to pay twice? Would it be worth doing something like canceling the credit card to prevent it from happening? Thanks!
  4. No. Would it be worth assuming it will be rejected and sending in the entire package now, or do I need to wait for the rejection? I have been trying to call but am struggling to get past the AI.
  5. Ok thanks! I guess they had the same assumption by looking at timelines.
  6. The first question on I-485 is the A-number, and it does not say "if any" so I assume it will get rejected 😕
  7. Really? Where are you seeing that? From these timelines, it seems like a few days, or am I misinterpreting the filing date? https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aoslist.php?cfl=0&op1=3&op2=d&op3=&op4=1&op5=5,6,8,9,10,11&op6=&op8=All&xfr=&vtype=0&interview=
  8. Hey everyone, We just realized we had confused the confirmation number for the A number printed on DS-160. It has the same number of characters and starts with AA. We submitted all of the paperwork for the AOS with the incorrect A-number. It will be obvious to them that it is incorrect as the one we had filled in has both numbers and letters. I assume the application will be rejected, but is there a chance it won't? Is there anything we can do in the meantime to speed up the process, or do we have to wait for the rejection? For reference, it has been 21 days since we mailed in the application, and we have not received anything yet, which seems a bit odd. Thanks for the help!
