  1. There is no required order. You can submit whatever you want at any time. Once you have all your stuff sent the NVC stage doesn't take a long time, so be ready to open a bottle of champaign soon. 😁
  2. Here ist the official version from the CDC, Section Immigrant, Refugee, and Migrant Health. https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/panel-physicians/syphilis.html Scroll down to the 'Key Concepts' Box. There you can read "All applicants aged 18 years to those aged less than 45 years must be tested for evidence of syphilis.". And the evidence of syphilis is provided by the blood test during the exam and is the reason for it. So old farts and teens are all set and the exam is a little bit cheaper ... 😁
  3. Neither here in Germany. No blood test for older applicants.
  4. After a couple of times entering your question in the EMMA chat window without success, just enter "you don't understand anything about my problem". EMMA gets "embarressed" and it only takes a few seconds and you get a real person to chat. Try it, sounds funny but it worked for me.
  5. The standard version is just fine. It's even in German and English language. So you do not need the "Erweitertes Führungszeugnis“. You can usually obtain it from your local city hall.
  6. About 10 weeks from DQ to interview (Frankfurt consulate) and just one date.
  7. Follow the link I included in my previous post. The timeline there was very accurate and it only took a couple of weeks (not months) from all submitted to DQ'd.
  8. Look here under "Current case review time:" https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html This timing was correct (give or take two days) in my case. But again, don't make an medical appointment too early in the process!
  9. I just looked at my DS-260. The case ID is already printed there. So you can actually book a medical exam already. I've attached a PDF from the Frankfurt medical visa facility. It clearly states what is required for the different types of visas. USA-Medical-Visa.pdf
  10. If you are already NVC DQ'd they should have sent you the German consulate Case ID which you need to bring to the medical exam along with the DS-260 confirmation page. Since they don't give you a sealed envelope after the medical exam anymore the Case ID is needed by them to enter your medical results in their "eMedical" database. The consulate has access to this database and during the interview process they refer to your record using the consulate Case ID. At least this is how it worked for my case. Anyway, don't make the medical appointment too early because you can only enter the US with your immigration visa within 6 month after the medical exam. If you are not DQ'd yet I would wait for it if I was you. If you use the Doclib system to manage your medical exam appointment my experience is that there are a lot of early dates available because people have canceled their appointments. You can sign up there for receiving a note whenever an ealier date is available.
  11. I've helped my wife (US citizen) to get her German Easy Pass RTP. It took about 20 minutes at the Frankfurt Airport police station and she could use it right away. It was even easier than applying for the Global Entry. Now she can use the kiosk by just scanning her passport when she enters Germany rather than waiting in the crowded tourist queue. More information here: https://www.easypass.de/EasyPass/EN/EasyPASS-RTP/rtp_node.html
  12. You could use an online PDF resize tool. Upload your editable PDF and download the resized PDF with a size of your choice. Maybe this tool also eliminates the editable feature of your PDF. Search for 'iLovePDF' for example.
  13. After you've paid all the fees and it shows 'paid' in your ceac account you can submit whatever you are supposed to. There is no order and they don't start to review your case before you have completed all the required documents anyway.
  14. >> 1. 17th January 2023 (it's equal to the "receipt date" on the top left side of the receipt form) --> So should I consider 17th January 2023 as NOA1 date? Yes, this is also your "priority date" (PD) which they use to calculate the estimated processing time of your case and so on. But be aware that their processing time is not accurate in many cases. >> 2. Don't know what you mean. The receipt notice actually is the I-797 form. --> I found over internet that there is "I-797" printed on the receipt notice, so just wondering, how "I-797" is not there in online receipt notice. That's right. It's not on mine on the USCIS account version either, just on the printed (snail mail) version.
  15. 1. 17th January 2023 (it's equal to the "receipt date" on the top left side of the receipt form) 2. Don't know what you mean. The receipt notice actually is the I-797 form. 3. We petitioned online and beside the online form they've also sent a paper version per snail mail. Maybe it's not always the case, though. Have you already created an USCIS online account? You can find all the information of your case there. Instructions are here: https://www.uscis.gov/file-online/how-to-create-a-uscis-online-account
  16. I don't think you have to take it to the interview. 3. Gather Documents Required for the Interview Every visa applicant, no matter their age, must bring certain documents to the interview, including photographs, and the original or certified copy version of all civil documents submitted to NVC. -->> You do not need to bring your Affidavit of Support or financial evidence you submitted to NVC. <<-- Source: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-10-prepare-for-the-interview.html I took mine to the interview just in case but they never asked me about it.
  17. You can find the answers of most of your questions, including the last one here: https://www.boundless.com/immigration-resources/re-entry-permits-explained/
  18. Another reason to come here is to learn about problems that wouldn't have occured to you otherwise. Things like what to do if your GC got lost in the USPS jungle, just to mention one of so many unforseeable obstacles. It's always good to be prepared for the worst even though it is not an actual or current problem yet.
  19. If you mean the visajouney website .. there are many complaints about the missing potomac processing time tables in the bug section. But they don't care ...
