  1. Be aware that the actual green card process will not be initiated until they received the fee.
  2. We've attached it in the "Affidavit Of Support & Finacial Evidence" section under "Additional AOS Supporting Documentation" and it's been accepted (see pictures).
  3. In our IR1 NVC process there was a way to upload "Photographs". Maybe it's a temporary bug, so try it again later or use the "Optional Documents" item. That should be ok too.
  4. So you fill it out for him (he is actually your sponsor and the I-864 is a sponsors document). Under 5.3 "Persons NOT sponsored in this affidavit", I think you don't enter his spouse (you) because in fact he DOES sponser you. But I even believe you (he) has to file the I-864EZ instead of I-864 if he can answer all three question below "yes" Part 1. Qualifying to Use Form I-864EZ 1.a. I am the petitioner of the family member sponsored on this affidavit. 1.b. I am using my own earned or retirement income, which is documented using Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form W-2. 1.c. The sponsored immigrant is the only person immigrating based on the underlying visa petition. https://www.uscis.gov/i-864ez
  5. I don't understand why you guys are supposed to file the I-864A anyway. If you are able to sponsor your husband than there is no need that another household member additionally has to sponsor your husband. And your husband who is the (foreign) applicant cannot sponsor himself. It must be a person already living in the US (citizen or LPR). Your husband is not yet a LPR nor a citizen. We were in a similar situation but I can't remember that we had to file the I-864A. Only the I864(EZ).

  8. Seems to be OK in some cases. When we've mailed our application, only a few documents have been scanned. Most pages didn't show up on the USCIS documents tab. Nonetheless our case has been approved w/o problems. Maybe they are just too busy to scan all of the stuff.
  9. From a couple who did it exactly that way, we did everything from overseas and had no problems at all.
  10. In your case, this is the official path you need to follow: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition.html The US-citizen starts with I-130 and the beneficiary starts with I-130A along with all the other required documents. https://www.uscis.gov/i-130 We did it this way and had no problems at all. Good luck!
  11. We were in the same situation and filed the I-864EZ and it has been accepted w/o any problems. So with the preconditions you've listed just use the EZ version.
  12. Go here and enter the required data. The system tells you if you have paid already or, if not, it let you do the payment: https://my.uscis.gov/uscis-immigrant-fee/enter-data
  13. USCIS has transferred your case to NVC which is a different office so they are done with your case and from their side it is closed. It's normal.
  14. Yes, that's all for now. It'll change when they start to print the GC which can take up to 90 days.
  15. As you already have your interview appointment you should be fine. If they ask you about the duplicates just explain truthfully what you wrote in your post. I can't see a problem ... don't overthink and/or panic 😉
  16. 3 weeks of holidays may not be enough to recover, maybe 3 years in madhouse 😁 Anyways, all the best!
  17. Just give them exactly what you are most likely planning to do when you guys are returning to the US. I don't think they are so picky especially when he's just on temporary duty in Germany. So just tell them the truth and if the future plan is not 100% set yet, tell them anyway. What else are you supposed to do?
  18. The APO is usually just a temporary address used as long as he's staying in Germany. Use his real address in the US to establish domicile along with some other evidence like government orders, real estade paid taxes, utiliy bills, rental agreement, rental fees or whatever shows that he is still maintainig a domicile in the US. This along with a short cover letter worked perfectly for us. Here is our cover page: Mikey Mouse CMR 999, Box 999 APO AE 12345 September 23, 2023 National Visa Center RE: I-864EZ, Affidavit of Support NVC Case No: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Applicant: Mikey Mouse Beneficiary: Minni Mouse To Whom It May Concern: I am currently stationed in Germany under Army Permanent Change of Station orders. I have maintained my primary residence on Mars, Solar System, where we will live after my spouse’s immigration is complete or at the completion of my Army tour. I am submitting additional documents supporting my domicile claim, temporary nature of my tour in Germany and intention to live permanently in the United States. Attached please find the following documents: Government Orders/Approved Tour Extension Rental Management Lease Agreement Real Estate 2022 paid taxes If you have any questions or concerns, please call me at (555) 555-5555. Thank you for the time taken in this case. Sincerely, Mikey Mouse
  19. I remember that there is a question about the current address in the I-130A form. If this address is not in the USA then it is obvious that she doesn't have to sign it. So no need to add a note.
  20. Hi, here is an official link for you, which shows what documents are required for the I-130 process (open "Checklist of Required Initial Evidence" tab). The best is you strictly follow these requirements to avoid a RFE later. https://www.uscis.gov/i-130
  21. Yes that'll do it. Although the requirement is probably from a time before digitization and it no longer makes sense ... we have not had any problems.
  22. There is no required order. You can submit whatever you want at any time. Once you have all your stuff sent the NVC stage doesn't take a long time, so be ready to open a bottle of champaign soon. 😁
  23. Here ist the official version from the CDC, Section Immigrant, Refugee, and Migrant Health. https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/panel-physicians/syphilis.html Scroll down to the 'Key Concepts' Box. There you can read "All applicants aged 18 years to those aged less than 45 years must be tested for evidence of syphilis.". And the evidence of syphilis is provided by the blood test during the exam and is the reason for it. So old farts and teens are all set and the exam is a little bit cheaper ... 😁
