  1. All the other groups got there's on Monday for July. They skipped employment again. Hopefully we get letters in July for August!
  2. Yes. You can only change jobs after you have the GC. If you change before your new employer will need to sponsor the GC
  3. They won't update the paragraph twice in one month. They were probably changing another part of the website as the page is for immigrant and non immigrant for every embassy in Canada. The paragraph is still June 6th - the date on that paragraph is the only thing that matters. Not the website update date.
  4. For now. But as it gets closer to the end of the visa year (September 30th), there is also a higher chance eb1 and 2 also retrogress. This is what happened last year.
  5. Yeah often when there is a big retrogression coming, montreal have been known to stop giving out invitations so that they don't invite someone then have to cancel it. I'm sure this is another reason for no interview letters.
  6. I dont think employment are going to get this month as they updated the website with Jan 23 and that was the same as 2 months ago. The other groups had progression of their months in that update. IR went from Feb 24 to March 24, and they are the group that got interview letters this morning. It seems they are so backlogged with ds 5535 that EB has been put on hold again. Let's hope it's not until January 2025 like what happened last year.
  7. Honestly we have no idea. In March they moved 7 months. And haven't done anything for the last 2 months. But last year they made 13 months progress in May. Then never invited anyone else until January. So could be 1 month. Could be 1 year. Montreal are completely unpredictable
  8. They family and IR have been given interviews up to Feb 22. Nobody in march has received letters yet according to reddit. Sadly it looks like they aren't going to make any eb progress this month if they are still reporting Jan. Really rough. I guess we will see tomorrow/ Monday who gets an invite.
  9. I think the way it works is that they make a list of who is going to get an interview. It changes in the system and often will change in ceac early. Then all interview letters get emailed out through the night. I think its either 1am or 2am. (I presume different because of timezones). So likely they have input your case to get an email sent out! Hopefully you wake up to good news tomorrow morning! Anyone else's ceac change?
  10. We can revert it back to an old version where the dates are correct again. There's always the chance we lose someone's new input. But better to have them input it twice than lose all the historic data. Dandelion did it earlier this week I believe. I can look at it on my laptop tomorrow if someone doesn't restore an old version before then.
  11. Nope. Not a thing. Goodness knows what's happening at montreal.... I guess there is always next week?
  12. I mean last year they put out EB interviews until may. And then didn't do any more for the rest of the year. I'm just desperate that we aren't back to another 7 month hiatus from Montreal.... but I also wouldn't be surprised either.
  13. Still nothing since may 9th in any category. Yesterday was a US holiday though... as always... maybe this week?
  14. Yes you would need to go to France for the interview. You can request to pick up the passport at the Consulate. So within a couple days. But generally most Consulate give 6 weeks notice of interview date.
  15. Yeah we have seen someone use the France consulate. They got their invite within a couple of weeks and were all done within 3 months. Definitely move it to France.
  16. You can enter on the immigrant green card and then exit on the same day and cross back over whenever and as many times as you need. Many people cross to 'activate' it. Then immediately return to canada as they have loose ends to tie up. I believe the first crossing can take a bit longer with border patrol. So they don't want to do it with pets etc. You will then be able to freely travel over the border and it will start the official green card and SSN process of being sent out. It can take 90 days.
  17. They have to go out... it's just going to be a real rough time for the people at the start of the month. To get everything organized. My only other guess is there were a lot more people skipped than we anticipated and they filled up the whole of the month with the May 9th invites that went out. Or perhaps they have filled up the first half of the month... so there is less of a rush to put out the invites for the second half of June. However there are still a lot of people complaining in other groups that invite letters haven't been sent out from the other categories... so I'm still hopeful employment won't be skipped entirely. However we were skipped for 7 months last year.... so who knows really. Wait and see... and if anyone gets an invite please keep us updated?
  18. Halioak is the only other person I have seen recently be expedited. I believe they got their interview letter the following month after being approved for expedite. They give you the date. Although I beeline they are now in AP. But you could message them.
  19. There was a small batch sent to IR on the 9th May. It seemed this covered the people they accidently missed last month. (Hence why they pulled the update off the website on May 7th) However the rest of the groups including employment are still awaiting the June invites
  20. Yeah the excel spreadsheet is on page 1 of this blog. It was recently linked as well. Probably 2 or 3 pages back.
  21. Still not a thing from any categories... there's always tomorrow I guess.
  22. Still nothing sadly. But yesterday was victoria day. Last month someone got an invite on the 19th for the 1st. So not even 2 weeks notice. It just seems insane to leave it late when people in central Canada need to either fly for both the medical and the interview. So hard to get time off work, flights and hotels booked, make plans for your animals when you are out of town and get yourself to montreal in less than 2 weeks. And the medical needs done a certain number of working days prior to the interview.
  23. Invites came out in April scheduled for dates in May for people dq'd july-dec 2022. Last update from Montreal was they were working on Jan 2023. And we expect invites to come out in the next few days for interviews in June for dq dates in early 2023.
