It means they are up to August. So could have only sent out letters until aug 1st. You will be in the next batch for sure!

Book a medical exam, get all your vaccine documents together. We had to get our family doctor to check them over before visiting lyndon. They will give you a checklist when you book. Register for a courier for your passport to be returned Ensure you have all your paperwork together and photocopies of everything. The police reports are only valid for 1 year so they may need to be updated. Book hotels and flights as necessary

It seems like the completed may June and July 2023. Montreal will probably update the website this week as both ir and employment have had their letters. Although it could be next week as its a holiday today. 3 months progress is great though!
-
The list of documents is on the website. Your police report needs to be from the last 12 months. Yes you need to prep your vaccination record before the medical. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/MTL-Montreal.html All the information about the medical can be found here. If you are applying for green cards for the kids they can come. If not you cannot bring anyone who is not applying

He got a referral from his gp who sent him to a testing lab. So just visit your family doctor
-
I provided a letter from my doctor with the date I had varicella. My husband had it as a kid but no record. So he got an antibody test to prove it. Both are acceptable! If you have never had it then you need the vaccine
-
Just have it typed out and printed then you can change it during the interview
-
We assumed it would be fine. I was just making sure there were no glaring issues. Taxes are going to be complicated this year anyway I imagine. The only other thing we can think of is the Healthcare. We currently get canada Healthcare and wouldn't have our American Healthcare until the position is transferred. We just don't want to do anything wrong haha
-
If we get our green card and start moving down to the US. Are we still legally allowed to work for a Canadian based company whilst in America until they file the paper work to transfer work for the US branch of the company. (Same company same job). The job is fully remote.
-
Once you get the green card there is not stipulation that you have to continue within the field that you put in the eb2 niw. However it's probably a good idea you tell the officer at the interview that's your intention.

Some of the vaccines require multiple doses. You should get them done at a travel clinic before the medical

I would probably look through reddit and visa journey to try figure out the wait times for both places. As far as I know Mumbai is also heavily backlogged. But I'm not sure which is slower. I would maybe wait a couple months to see how things go with montreal. They cleared 7 months back log in April and 5 months in August. There is a chance things continue to progress in the next few months and it will be more like a 6-12 month wait. Which is probably faster than Mumbai. But you would need to figure that out yourself.

It's the same queue for you as everyone else. They are currently up to May 2023.
-
Both things you can just let them know on the day. If you have your old passport that is cut. No harm in bringing it. Have your new address printed out on a bit of paper so they can edit it on the system. I think most people have address changes after this long.
-
No don't update. You tell them at the interview. The IV letter comes through email anyway.
-
Have you changed or updated any part of your file. I know people that have changed their address or added a new SO/child and that has changed they DQ date. When you check CEAC do you still have the same DQ date?
-
@Nicadog @Buspilot320 @borna you are all April 2023. Did any of you receiver IV letters this morning?
-
They usually do all employment. You should definitely contact them. Your case has been skipped for some reason. As you should have got invited last time. And if not should have definitely received one this morning as you are before us.
-
Hello everyone. Good news. We got our interview letter this morning. We were DQ March 8th 2023. And our interview is Sept 9th. Hope you all got yours too!!!!

Yeah, we are in the same boat and understand the frustration. We attempted an expedite this week on the grounds of financial hardship as we may lose our 6 figure job soon if we can not make it to the US soon. They denied it. However I have seen the IR1 and CR1 catogery have their expedites approved due to wanting to start a family and that they can't do that apart from their significant other. Completely infuriating as I know many people on here are also putting off having a family until they settle in the US and somehow the IR1 and CR1 always have priority. My mind is just baffled. I am just hoping so hard some letters come out this week.
-
Yes but the new fiscal year starts in October first and yet there was still no invites until January. I dont believe it was due to fiscal limits. Especially as many people are are dq'd are current due to montreal being so backlogged.
-
Yes. Ir1 and cr1 have had their invites. Eb can be sent out on a separate day. Usually there is still hope until they update the website. Once they update the website that means they have completed sending out invites for the month... The hope is always very slim at this point.
-
Thanks. The June should be out soon. And as we say no invited I'm sure we will be back to very low numbers for June July and August... Let's hope September invites are coming next week!

Once you are DQ'd and your visa is current, there is sometimes an automatic email that is sent out every 60 days. Saying that you are still in line. It doesn't really mean anything as it is automatically sent out by a computer system. I've heard of some people never getting them though (they still are in line and do get their interview)
