Thank you so much. This helps put us at ease, lol

Hello, all. Gly and I have passed our interview, medical and CFO and I booked her ticket to the U.S. for March 2nd. That parts true, lol. What I am concerned about now is that Gly said that she saw someone mention in a you tube video that she will have to undergo ANOTHER interview by immigration at the Cebu airport before she can leave. The video said we would have to prove our relationship to immigration and that they want a " Guarantee of support form" signed and notarized from me before her flight and that it has to be original and not a copy. Has anyone else experienced any of this? because I haven't seen anything like this mentioned anywhere here and neither of us have heard of such a thing until now. From my understanding all she needed to depart was her passport, visa, CFO certificate and a receipt for her travel tax to board the plane. Now we are both panicing because her flight is just a little more than 2 weeks away and there's no way I can send her an original, notarized document in time for her flight day. I emailed Ph Immigration to ask them but haven't gotten a reply yet. I am hoping that video she saw is all false info. I thought thats why I filed the I-134. If they need that, we only have the photocopies.

Hey all. We passed our interview and are preparing for the CFO next, but we see on the website they need Glys original Birth certificate and her original copy of her CENOMAR, but the embassy took those documents at the interview and all we have now are the copies. Do they send these originals back with her passport and visa? Has anyone been okay with just copies?

WoW, that's even faster than what I was expecting. Thank you so much for sharing. CFO info is one of those things that rarely get any reviews or attention. Cebu, like Davao seems to have the same number of U.S. seminars per week. Looks like I will have to tell Gly she was right and I was wrong, lol. She loves when that happens, lol.

Glys interview is on Jan 30th and now we are trying to decide which CFO to apply for. She thinks Davao would be the fastest because, she thinks, there aren't as many applicants there as there are in Manila, however, I think Manilla may be faster because they have more U.S. seminars daily per week whereas Davao only has seminars for U.S. K1 applicants a few days per week. Any thoughts? Any experiences to share? Manila, Davao or Cebu?

Than you, my fiance was panicing when she saw 2 valid IDs

So you only needed your passport and ONE valid ID? instead of 2? My fiance only has her Phil health ID and her passport.

lol, thats the whole point. I'm trying to plan her departure. Flights become more and more expensive the closer you get to the departure date so I want to get everything booked now as soon as possible. Our interview is on Jan 30th, and we want to book her flight for Mar 1st, but assuming it will take 10 days for them to mail her passport and visa back to her, that will only leave us about 14 days or so to schedule and do the cfo seminar. I dont know if getting flight insurance would help if we had to delay her flight after booking it but I would really like to get everything scheduled as soon as possible so we can finally relax and breathe a sigh of relief, lol.

Has anyone recently gotten their K1 visa approved in Manila and had to schedule their CFO appt? How long did it take to get an appointment? Didi you do face to face or online seminar? If face to face, which city did you choose to have it done? Manila, Cebu or Davao? Thank you. There are no online time statistics that I can find for current wait times. I think this info will help many who are facing a near interview and are trying to guess when to schedule their flight to the U.S.

That would be great news because the recent chain of events between the failed medical, the sputum tests and rebooking everything followed by this terrible illness going around was starting to make me feel like everything that can go wrong will go wrong for us. Thank you so much for a quick reply. You've eased my mind more than you know.

Hello, my fellow filers. Been awhile since I had to turn to all your experience for advice, but here goes. So like SOOOO many others, My fiance was flagged in her chest x-ray for sputum testing even though we both know shes not sick, never been sick etc etc...but I dont want to start on THAT whole rant. Anyway, she was flagged in November and completed the sputum tests and now we are just waiting through the 8 week culture test which we are confident will confirm she does not have TB. Our 8 weeks will be up in January and they have scheduled her new medical for January 22nd and because we are so confident, we've gone ahead and scheduled her interview for the 30th and I'm planning to book her flight to the US for Mar 1st to give her time to visit family and friends and say her goodbyes first. My concern is that Gly and just about everyone she knows has recently come down with what the doctor said is mycoplasma pneumoniae which is a respiratory infection. They are all coughing like crazy. The doctor prescribed her medication and she seems to be getting better fairly quickly but I'm freaking out because I know it can take several weeks for pneumonia to completely leave your lungs and I am concerned this will cause them to see something new in her chest x-ray if she has to do it all over again on the 22nd and they might flag us again and make us go through sputum testing and 8 week cultures AGAIN. Has anyone else been in a similiar situation or heard of anyone who has been forced to go through the 8 week culture tests twice in a row after being sick?

Well heres the latest update for Gly and me. She had her medical scheduled yesterday and has fallen victim to the infamous SLEC sputum testing so her interview slot should be available for the 21st if anyone wants to try and grab it. She was very upset as were the other girls in her group who also got flagged. I was able to make her feel better but I am also frustrated and annoyed at this point. She is in perfect health, She passed other TB tests in the past, she has no respiratory problems of any kind and they didn't even show her the chest x-rays where they, supposedly, saw something unusual. On top of that, they also are making her see a psychiatrist before her interview in 2 months because of a hairline scar on the inside of one of her arms from years ago when she was in her first year of highschool. We had to cancel her interview, rebook her flight home and pay for another airbnb because of the sputum testing going ONE day past the original date of her flight home. Now in 2 months we will have to do this all over again with flights and airbnbs and scheduling....sigh....so annoying. Looking back through previous threads, I see that SLEC has been falsely flagging people for sputum testing for YEARS now, I am amazed that noone has done anything to address this issue yet at the embassy.

ya, I spent friday, saturday and sunday checking every 20 mins during the US daytime hours and she clicked every 20 mins during the Philippines daytime hours until we found something, lol. Thank goodness thats over. Anyone had to schedule with CFO yet? Is it any easier? We are going to deal with the CFO in Cebu.

This is the dumbest system Ive ever seen. You make people wait a year and a half to be together and then they have to play roulette for a damn interview slot? So now we have to take turns clicking through every 20 mins until something opens up? Do we have to go through this for the medical and cfo appointments too or are they easier?

Hey all. This has been a diversive topic here for sometime because all consolates seem to have different rules regarding this. I am asking for the Philippines consolate specifically. Do I have to mail my beneficiary the hard copies of my I-134 with a wet signature or has anyone been able to satisfy them with a scanned copy. It would be so much more efficient and cost friendly to print it, sign it, scan it back in and then email it to my fiance to print and sign it on her end.
