  1. Hi everyone. My husband is planning to land at San Francisco (SFO) airport as his port of entry on CR1/IR1 visa. I wanted to find out that how much time does it usually takes to get CBP/immigration clearance for the CR1/IR1 visa holder at the point of entry into US? Because he is planning to take the the flight from SFO to MSP which flies after 3 and half hours after his international flight lands at SFO airport. I wanted to ask that are 3.5 hours enough to get custom/immigration clearance from after the first flight to board the next domestic flight to MSP?
  2. As you can see in the screenshot attached that we filled SSN information in this manner. My question is that after landing in US, will my husband have to go to the office of Social security to get his SSN or will the Social Security number be automatically sent to us since we filled out DS260 in the manner below?
  3. Hi everyone. My husband's CR1 recently got approved. Our second year of marriage will complete next month on the 9th of August. I was wondering that should he delay him coming to the US after the USA after 9th of August so that he gets 10 year greencard rather than 2 and we wont have to go through the hassle of removing conditions for him. One more thing is he travels after the 9th of August and at the port of entry should we tell the immigration officer to stamp him 10 year greencard rather than 2 or they will do it themselves? and Should he carry the original marriage certificate with him?
  4. For those navigating long interview wait time. This newly updated page states that one can reshedule their interviews to any embassy in the world where there are less wait time. If i recall correctly thre was a condition of having a residency in that country on then you could apply for rescheduling the interview there. Does anybody have any idea on this? does that mean that those embassies who are severly backlogged can shift their interview else ? https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/update-on-worldwide-visa-operations.html
