On average how long does the US embassy take to stamp and return the passport assuming that everything is approved?

It doesn't and i don't think that's required? I do have the original PERM which lists my duties. I'm EB2A

EB2 - London - Jan 3rd. For those that have appeared for EB2 consular interview cases -- do you have advice? How can we prepare better for the interview questions that may potentially be asked. Is there something that we should specifically prepare for?

HR came through with the letter on Friday. Seems like it'll do the job: has got the basics: title, min salary to be offered and job location.

This is an international transfer. I was working in the US when the PERM was filed. I'm now outside the US working for the same firm in their overseas subsidiary. It's a big firm and it takes aeons getting through to the correct team. After the docs were submitted to NVC, my lawyer (the outsourced immigration firm) mentioned that nothing additional would be needed at the time of the interview, they have done multiple such cases in the past and they usually provide an "employment letter" and pay stubs which suffices. However, last week i reached out to the lawyers to confirm and quoted that the embassy website states "Job offer letter from your U.S. employer' and if they would be providing that. They're now asking me to get a job offer letter, in addition to the Employment letter* which they'll provide. and i'm unsure which team to reach out to, or what the contents of the offer letter should be 😒. I just went through the employment visa based requirements for different countries (copied below), and I think that my lawyers is confused as the requirements for an employment visa stated on the US Embassy London website is different from other countries. I think that since this is seemingly new to my lawyer, they're asking me to get this form separately. However, it's quite likely that the employment letter which they'll provide may well suffice and they're just being extra cautious as they're noticing this for the first time? Hmm. Let me have a look what was submitted for the I-140 application … I wasn’t following my case that closely then the lawyers were taking care of it. The employment contract will be my current contract?

Yes, my lawyer = the company's immigration lawyer. It's a bit diff as there's a bit of a gap between my employer and the outsourced law firm that handles immigration. The lawyer (from the outsourced firm) has said that the letter should come from the firm (my employer) and they have nothing to add here. They will however supplement that letter with another letter of their own. I however can't get through to the right team that prepares the letter so asking here.

Thanks. Yes, I’m asking my lawyer. However, just double checking with folks who may have gone through the same route to ensure that what I provide is comprehensive. There have been a few instances where these forums have proven to be more accurate and up to date then my lawyer.

Hi folks, I’ve my immigration EB-2 interview scheduled next month (via consular processing) . As I understand as part of the interview I need to share a job offer letter. My employer wants to write it but needs to know what all should go inside the letter. Can anyone please guide what should be inside the job offer letter?

My case number is LDNXXXXX. However, if i go https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=NIV to check my status it still says that the case is with NVC. I think it makes sense that the case is only transferred from NVC to the embassy once the embassy organizes an interview? So till that is done the case will still be with NVC. PD: AUG 2020 DG: Jan 11 2024 Hopefully the IL comes next month?

I mean I have a London number for my IV application. For the case it says that it is still at nvc ( I transferred the case while it was at nvc). Any advice on how I should inquire about the case and the current timelines?

Hi Folks, I currently have an ongoing EB2 in Abu-Dhabi that I just transferred to the London Embassy based on the HPI* visa. I'm still at the Ds260 stage so i simply contacted NVC and asked them to change the location. Now as it's getting close to filling out the DS260, i may be overthinking. I want to know If i can show my current residence as London (i'm staying at my sisters place for a few days). However, between now and the interview I will be working in Abu-Dhabi, vacationing in another country and will be coming again back for the interview. Given, that my interview is for the EB2 visa and i'm working for my current employer in Abu Dhabi. Would this pose any complications either here or at the interview? I've read online advise that recommend that I show my current address as the place where the case has been transferred, however, that may not necessarily be true as people do give interviews at their home countries even though they may not be living there currently (but have residence/address). Would really appreciate some insight here. HPI* : A High Potential Individual (HPI) visa gives you permission to stay in the UK for at least 2 years. At the time of requesting the change I simply told the NVC that I have gained residence in the UK and attached my BRP.
