We received email with tracking info before any status update ais.usvisa-info. Sometimes it might not get updated in real time and lags way behind

Fantastic news, congratulations!

Congratulations @CiEb2 You should receive your passports mostly in a day or 2 if its Canadian address.

Any feedback/experiences for land border POE from Toronto considering the wait times, officers know-how for handling Immigrant visas and friendly service in general? Thanks!

I carried all the original documents as per the pre-interview checklist from website plus additional supporting docs which they never asked

Its really frustrating situation with these border officers to get lucky in such situations. Maybe you can try to cross via another border office where they might consider after-market system bought one. I think some VJ member/s tried couple times before they could import it successfully. We eventually have to import our Toyota as well and this makes me nervous about it though I bought the car in US before moving to Canada ( it already has self built TPMS)

You have to submit documents through mail
-
Yes, that’s correct
-
Employment based cases does not need to submit I-864( AOS). All you need is recent employment letter from US employer( petitioner) at the time of interview.
-
My guess is IO could have updated the DS 260 during the interview time with the new petitioner info( atleast that's what I heard that any changes to DS260 can be done at the time of the interview) if needed. But if they are looking for any supporting documentation to do so, maybe you need to send them those once asked for it or you might want to email montreal consulate asking about the next steps. Maybe someone can direct you to the correct email details.
-
@Steggles They send the medical report to the consulate directly - not very very if its electronically sent. But we confirmed by calling the doctors office as to when was it sent and also asked us to email a copy for our records.

We finished our EB2 interview today morning and were told "APPROVED" by the CO after the interview. By 4pm, CEAC status is updated to "ISSUED" and next is passport waiting time Regarding the interview, it was very smooth and quick. We went inside around 8.40am and were out by 9.40am. The lady who checked our documents was very nice and Consular officer was even more nicer, smiling and gave us a very positive vibe right from the beginning. They never asked for any single extra document other than what is mentioned in the website and questions were very simple ones that are already consolidated by many VJ members in the spreadsheet( Ex., What is your current role? Did you travel outside the country apart from US/ Canada? What is your highest education for both myself and wife? ) Happy to answer any questions anytime.

Sorry to hear, but hopefully it should be cleared within couple weeks since they have your passport.

Its very unfortunate situation but whole of immigration process of frustating long waiting times is brutally cruel for everyone. Agree with @ALC on the priority date/date of filing/ final action date and NVC considers date of filing to send out the invoice/ civil document details. Hopefully all works in your favor soon!
-
@jimmy2k Once the case is with NVC and priority date is current, typically NVC sends the letter asking for the next steps - payment of the fees, filling out of DS 260 and documents to be submitted. For EB based category, like @TheMaverick mentioned one needs to mail the documents ( no option to upload). The address to submit the documents will be in the same letter ( I remember it was Sterling, VA in our case) EB based category( petitioner is US employer) no need to submit I-864 ( Affidavit of Support) documents. Employment letter from the employer dated within a month at the time of interview is sufficient.

@F2J_March Very best wishes for your interview tomorrow, hope all goes well!
-
I guess so, maybe you can confirm once you get it done
-
I think it should be okay, just shows that the photos are recent ( consulate needs photos taken within 6 months i suppose). Our photos have that info on the back as well.

1. does one need a family doctor for getting an antibody titer test done, or are there any walk in clinics where we can get this done? - We got it done with our family doctor and have heard it can be done at any walk-in clinics too 2. any suggestions on where one can get the antibody titer test done in downtown Toronto? - Not aware of walk-in clinics that provide this service in downtown Toronto, maybe try calling local muncipal health authorities that might redirect you or suggest you to the right person/place 3. how much does it cost to get this done per person? Covered by OHIP

By chance if you have expired passports, try entering old passport number to see if it fetches records

We completed our medicals with Dr Randall T Lee on Feb15 and it was a good experience overall.

As per the EB tracker spreadsheet people DQ'ed till Aug 2021 have received IL's. However, there are couple of them who did not received their IL's though their DQ date is either Aug 2021 or before and not sure of the reason behind it
