Ok, delay is likely due to verification of the Egyptian police certificate. I would contact the embassy. Did the officer ask anything at the interview regarding your time in Egypt etc..?

Should be the end of the month. The waiting is so hard, I can't wait to get out of Canada, sick of the snow.

What age did you leave Egypt? Did you live there as an adult? Did you ever have issues entering the US etc?

Hello, I'm a bit confused here and would like any info from anyone who has had a similar experience in Montreal. I have a joint sponsor who has well above the required income( and a W2 showing that income), however, she has a married filing jointly tax status. I have her tax transcripts. As per the NVC instructions all I need is the signed I-864 form, her W2 and her tax transcripts. Also looking at the FAQ thread above, you just need to bring their W2 if they are married filing jointly. However, other people have said the joint sponsors spouse also needs to fill out an I-864a?? I thought that was only if you needed their income to meet the requirement. Anyone who has gone through something similar? Did the W2 suffice at the interview?
