  1. Same here. Received a confirmation email when I submitted the actual visa application, but nothing when I submitted the civil docs or the financial docs. Only submitted everything on Tuesday, so figure I've got at least another week to wait to hear back once NVC have actually looked at all of the documents
  2. Hi, You can't get DQ until you have the police certificates, so no problems about scheduling the interview. This doesn't get scheduled until you're DQ. For the ACRO check for me, including being couriered to the middle east, this took about 2 weeks, so think the 30 days is them covering themselves. Service required - this should be a drop down and you're after a police record of criminal conviction or good standing
  3. Check your junk/spam folder. My Gmail put our welcome letter into the Junk folder initially
  4. Trying to fill out this bloody DS260 application, and the site keeps crashing. Anyone else having these problems? Wonder if it's to do with the number of addresses I've had since 16 (about 17 addresses)? For anyone who hasn't paid their fees yet, the website will only let you pay out of a US bank account, so be prepared to input US routing numbers, bank account details etc. I wanted to use my overseas bank account, but that wasn't permitted.
  5. Congratulations! Our welcome letter took about 4 days to hit my email, so you might be in luck!
  6. Congratulations! Based on Marmite's timeline, I think Christmas is definitely possible.
  7. Congratulations - now just the NVC stage to navigate, which seems a bit more transparent at least
  8. For anyone else who's been approved by USCIS and going through NVC, how long did it take for your initial NVC email to come through? The i130 letter said I can't chase NVC until 3rd September, but thought the notification and initial process was quicker than a full month later.
  9. Yeah, going to switch to the London embassy and bear the costs of flying in for medicals and interview.
  10. Woohoo - approval just came through about half an hour ago. PD 13 Sept 2022, notification from Potomac, but never got notified that it got moved from TSC to PSC. Now onto the next stage and multiple country police checks
  11. Congratulations 👏🎉 Finger's crossed the approvals start flowing through for the rest of us over the next few weeks
  12. I get you, I really do. The Abu Dhabi embassy has a Telegram channel and Instagram account. In June the embassy did an online Q&A on their Insta channel with two of the senior visa processing guys on visa interviews/backlogs/progress etc, which is where I got a lot of this information.
  13. It depends on the visa type applied for. EB visas aren't being interviewed at all, DV and refugee visas are being prioritised and they're currently interviewing people with DQ date April/May 2022 (same for IR/CR/F applications), so over a year wait. UAE is a bit of an abnormality as it's being used as the primary interviewing embassy for Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and lots of transfers from Pakistan, so lots of people being prioritised over I130 visas.
  14. I'd probably need to stay in the UK for a month. The website says 10-15 working days to return passport after the interview so, assuming successful, would need to stay in the UK until I got my passport back. Also only recognise UK based doctors, so would need to do medical in the UK before the interview
  15. Same here. Annoying that it's not even giving an estimate now, even though we all know how reliable those estimates are. If this USCIS estimates page is right, 80% of us will get a decision by January 2024 (for Potomac, but assume the other SC's are similar), so at least a year for most of us outside the US to be able to move. I'm in the UAE, so doing consular processing, and they're only doing interviews now for DQ in August 2022, so a summer 2024 move date is looking increasingly risky. Thinking I might have to temporarily move to the UK for the interview as interview scheduling there seems a matter of weeks rather than 10 months here. Potomac SC
  16. You're lucky that you're at TSC - Potomac is 16 months! Looks like TSC actually has the shortest timeline of all the SC's. We started at TSC, but got transferred to Potomac almost immediately after submission
  17. Mine's gone from 5 months estimated to 8 months. Not sure whether we're at Texas or Potomac as I130 receipt said Texas, but I129F receipt said Potomac. No notification saying it got transferred to Potomac but, as I129F was Potomac, we're assuming Potomac.
  18. UAE timeline for the embassy is about 9 months unfortunately, so 2-months in the UK sounds amazing! According to the USCIS website we're still 7 months out for approval from them (AR from 13th Sept, submitted on the 12th). From what people are saying on here, really wish mine hadn't been transferred to Potomac from Texas - Texas looking shorter wight now
  19. We submitted our I-130 online on the 12th September (AR on the 13th), which went to Texas Service Centre. We also submitted an I-129F last month, in the vague hope it might speed things up, which was received by them (officially) on the 23rd, although I know it was actually there a few days before that. Interestingly the receipt notification for the I-129F is from Potomac, so think our I-130 may have been transferred there as well, but no notification or document detailing the transfer on the USCIS portal. I thought that was a bit weird. Fingers crossed the I-129F does speed things up - at this rate our planned summer 2024 move to the US is looking in jeopardy location: UAE Details: married four years, live together, have kids together so would have thought our case would be relatively straight forward
  20. Looks like processing times are getting worse, not better: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/historic-pt
