    Okay do you suggest putting all this paperwork into one document and then writing a cover sheet type paper on top stating Response to RFE dated xyz, case no, A #’ Above ref RFE issued in error. Enclosed copy of the qualifying documentation as filed along with an updated asset statement from the I-864 A ‘asset qualified “ household member . Thank you for your help.

    I think maybe I wasn't specific enough, my sponsor is my mother whom I am currently living with. Me and the beneficiary moved back to the United States in April, filed in May and now received this RFE. Did I misunderstand the meaning of I-864 and I-864A? We have gathered that evidence, but are also considering just waiting until October when our sponsor will have her tax return transcript. That just seems like a very long time.. Thank you everyone for your responses.

    In the RFE it specifically says "If the petitioning sponsor or the joint sponsor is unable to meet the income requirements, they may qualify based on the cash value of their significant assets. Assets must equal the stated difference between the sponsor's income and 125%(100% if military) of the federal poverty guideline for the sponsor's household size." This isn't true? She must have the most recent tax return? Can't use her assets? I cannot use any of my income because I was living abroad and my income is from international sources.

    She has multiple stocks and bonds totaling several million so we will include the paperwork showing that. We also have her proof of tax return extension along with her 2023 wage and income tax transcript we will include. Now we are just curious if we need to redo the entire I864a and submit that or just turn in the documents they are requesting.

    I recently got an RFE because when we submitted tax documents for my joint sponsor we submitted 2022 tax documents, she filed an extension for 2023 because she has such complicated taxes to do. My question is, if we can't get the tax documents for 2023 right now can she submit her significant assets INSTEAD of the 2023 tax return? Or do both need to be submitted? The tax return probably will not be ready until October of this year. Thank you in advance.

    My partner was vaccinated twice in her home country before being approved for the K1 visa. Now we are in the United States and applying for AOS. Will she be required to get the third dose before our AOS is approved? Thank you.

    Is it still worth it to send in your I765 work authorization form with your I485 form? And the EAD would only be valid until the I485 is approved? The new fees are pretty high and I don’t believe my fiancé is going to be working anytime soon so thinking about spreading out the fees. She will be going to school in the meantime. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

    My fiance is a Korean citizen but lived in Canada for a couple years while attending university. She needs to get a police certificate from Canada for her interview at the embassy. We applied for K1 and just received NOA-2. It's been a little unclear what exact form she needs to request, and it seems on the Canadian web page there are some pretty significant delays regarding police checks/certificates. If anyone has gone through this with Canada I would appreciate any help regarding the steps toward obtaining the correct police document. Thank you!

    My fiance and I applied for K1 November 16, 2022 and we were just approved on September 29, 2023. Good luck to everyone else! I-129 F Sent - November 15, 2022 I-129 F Received - November 16, 2022 (NOA-1) I-129 NOA 2 Approved - September 29, 2023 (NOA-2)

    I am a US citizen petitioning for my fiance to move to the US with me on the K1 visa. I currently live and work in my fiance's home country. I will be moving back to the US in a year, but I had a question regarding the I-134 document. I will be using a co sponsor because my international income isn't eligible to support my fiance at this time for the K1 visa. Do I need to complete a I-134 as well as my co sponsor? Will there need to be 2 of these documents? It seems I have confused myself reading different things online and would like the assistance of someone who knows better than myself. Thank you in advance!
