    Hi @nene kwaku please did you request for expedite for your Parents case? Seeing that their DQ was April and July 2023. Per the group I joined in Facebook Ghana embassy is currently serving December 2022 DQs.

    The petition hasn’t been approved yet. Still at USCIS.

    The upgrade will greatly reduced her wait time. Please how did you upgrade her paperwork from child of LPR to US citizen ? My husband has been trying to do so but hasn’t been successful yet. Thank you.

    Ghana is currently working around December 2022 DQ. Interview date in February 2024.

    Hello here, a little back story about my case(F2A with my child as derivative). My current DQ is March 2023 and my husband filed a separate 1I30 for our child in August 2023. My husband has finally naturalized and we looking forward to upgrade my case. However I’m wondering if my son and I could be scheduled for same interview date; considering my husband is yet to request an expedite from USCIS to approve our child’s case, then to NVC before getting DQ (which will hopefully be in December 2023 or January 2024). My country has a year long wait from DQ to interview and I wouldn’t want to have leave our child behind.

    I appreciate your response. And YES Ghana has a huge backlog even for CR/IR cases.

    My case is already documentarily qualified 08/03/2023 But PD is in April 2021 thus not current on the visa bulletin.

    Husband (a green card holder) filed for me and case is at NVC. We had a newborn and added him to my application at NVC. Now husband wants to naturalize under the 5year rule. Should he petition for our son separately at USCIS as he’s still a green card holder (I heard that takes long) or wait till he becomes a USC before petitioning for our son. Thank you.

    My husband filed N400 on March 20th Biometrics on April 10th. Waiting for interview schedule.

    My husband an LPR filed for me and we became document qualified on 16th August 2021. We had a child shortly in September 2021 but we recently got to passport and added him as a accompany applicant. However I received a new DQ email from NVC on 2nd March 2023 and I am now worried if we have been brought back in the queue. anyone with such experience?

    @NikoTaino I wish I saw your advice about waiting till getting interview letter before add my newborn. I'm DQ August 2021 but I have already added him as a derivative and now waiting to upload his documents. I'm sincerely praying it doesn't increase my waiting time.

    @flabbyshins did you add your newborn? Did NVC use the new DQ date to schedule your interview? I am in same situation and I will appreciate your input on the options available.

    I'm in this same situation. My DQ is August 2021 and for some reason my Attorney is now adding my newborn whose document is yet to be reviewed. Will this bring me back of the queue! I'm very anxious.
