  1. My USCIS account shows that case was approved and card was produced for I-485 on 25th August while concurrent case I-765 showing that "Your case is taking longer than expected to process. You will be notified if you need to take any action." Did anyone have the same experience ? What does this mean ? I assumed that if I-485 is approved and card was produced, the next step was to receive green card by priority post. Thanks,
  2. I am preparing the AOS docments and have a question about I-765. Instruction of Form I-765, page 20 says "if you are filing Form I-765 " under the (c)(9) category, copies of any of the above are not requited." So, I don't need to submit I-94 or copy of K1 and entry stamp or marriage certificate ?? Only two passport style photos and completed and signed Form I-765 are enought??
  3. I came to the US with K-1 fiancee visa and just married. Regarding Form I-485, instruction of I-485 says that one of the Evidence required to file is "Evidence of Continuously Maintaining a Lawful Status since Arrival in the US". Does this apply for the K-1 visa holders as well ? The instruction lists copies of I-797, I-94 and passport page with an admission or parole stamp as evidence but these are also evidence of inspection and admisison and documentation of an immigrant petition. Other than I-797 or I-94, what can be the proof of lawful status ? I appreciate your help.
  4. Hi, We have applied the K1 VISA last year and we have got a notice of approval. We have been waiting for the Case number since then. Instead of the Case number, We have received a notice that "the Department of State sent our case to USCIS for review. We are reviewing it, and will notify you by mail when we are done.". We assume that that Department of State returned our case to the USCIS to review our case again. Does this meant that they found a problem/problems with the once approved application ? If you have the same experiences, What can be the reason of returning the case to the USCIS ? If the case is returned to the USCIS, is it unlikely to be approved ? We are confused and depressed having received this notice after an approval notice. I would appreciate it if you could share your experiences. Many thanks, Usaginomimi
