  1. Thanks a lot for educating me on this. I do use Turbotax, I'm planning to use it again with the paper filing, I'll follow your tips. Thanks again.
  2. I'm a US citizen, my wife is neither a US citizen or LPR, I'm trying to figure this out, it looks like I will have to do paper filing which is something new to me, so I really don't know yet what forms need to be filed.
  3. I'm also checking if there is an electronic way to file as MFS, I came across a software called Sprintax but would love to see if anyone has tried it?
  4. I was in Nebraska as well and got transferred the same day to Potomac, I can't comprehend why this service center is a lot slower than other ones.
  5. My wife visited me during Christmas/New year, She came through Dulles Airport in Virginia, she spent 30 seconds at the CBP officer, she was only asked about the reason of her visit, she told the officer that she's spending the holidays with me, he wished her a happy holidays and that was it.
  6. It is fraud if you apply for a tourist visa with the intent of staying. You won't be able to change your status from a tourist to a resident, the only feasible options are if you get married (legit marriage) or DV lottery.
  7. Based on some FB groups, it is 2 to 4 months for marriage cases and 4 to 6 months for K1 cases.
  8. Since you already filed for i-130, you can file for i-485, i-765, i-131. and i-864, make sure to attach your i-130 receipt notice with your package, be prepared to stay in the US until at least you get your advance parole, your employment card might take few months, so you wont be able to work until you get your employment card.
  9. I think it's an overall estimate, but I wouldn't count on it being accurate since the pool of people that fill out their timeline is so small.
  10. Well the medical test is more of an administrative process than a medical one, most (if not all) doctors don't actually test you, they might just ask you if you have any conditions, I doubt this will be an issue with the actual marriage.
