Visa interviews
A&J22 replied to LabyrinthFriend's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
There is a backlog for K1 interview dates, I've seen 5 to 8 months wait time. CR1 dates are a bit faster at 2 to 5 months depending on how busy the consulate is with DV visas. -
This is identical to the one my wife received upon entry. She already got her green card.

Trust me, I know how they are, my wife called all of them multiple times and no one even answered, I called from the US with my US number and they all answered during the same time my wife called, they're corrupt, I know for some people, it's hard to believe, but I know this for fact, it's not an analysis or assumption, it's a fact from close friends and family members who paid the staff to get an earlier appointment after they were told nothing is available for a month or 2. I do agree that Fihri at least is professional during the exam, I can't speak of the others.

Sorry for what happened to your fiancé, I think you should contact the consulate to make sure they know ahead of time in case he retaliates against your fiance. I know for a fact that those 3 doctors and their staff are rude, when i called them to schedule an appointment, Janah said he's booked for April, I asked about May, they said they can't tell me now, and i would have to call back in May, similar stories with other doctors, after I contacted the embassy explaining that my expedite request is pretty much useless since i can't even schedule the medical until June or July, the consulate made one of them provide an appointment to me, the funny thing is, I got it in April where that doctor told me she will be on vacation, i know many people that have to bribe their staff to just get an earlier appointment. In my opinion, the consulate is creating this issue because of limited doctors and the huge number of DV candidates, they should expand the physicians' list to loosen up their power.

Keep in mind that USCIS understands that consular processing limits certain types of evidence, such as join accounts. You can submit proof of time spent together, such as photos, hotel and airline confirmations, money transfers (if applicable), being the beneficiary in life insurance or retirement plans, phone record, you do not need every single type of proof, just do your best and do not over think it. Good luck.

Notarial Services in Kenitra, Morocco
A&J22 replied to Amine Matioui's topic in Middle East and North Africa
As far as I know, the letter does not need to be notarized, I've seen many people in FB groups where they just write the letter, sign it then have their American partner do the same. -

Updating petitioner's documents [merged threads]
A&J22 replied to Jake77's topic in National Visa Center (Dept of State)
I don't know if this will be an issue, it depends on what documents you're referring to and the consular officer that will conduct the interview, if you want to be on the safe side, you can submit them or take them to the interview but I doubt any civil documents expiration matter except the police/court documents if they're more than a year old. -

Once you get the visa, you're all set as long as you enter the USA within the validity of the visa.
