Hi everyone! I’m on a K-1 visa applying for a green card, and I rescheduled my USCIS biometrics appointment on a Friday. I picked a new date for Monday, but the notice said the updated PDF appointment form would be sent in 1-2 business days. I noticed that the PDF with the new appointment date is available in the ‘Upcoming Requests’ tab, so I downloaded and printed it, but it hasn’t appeared in the ‘Documents’ tab yet in my USCIS account. Is it okay to go to the appointment on Monday with the PDF I printed from ‘Upcoming Requests,’ or do I need to wait for it to show up in the ‘Documents’ tab? FYI. The pdf I found is exactly the same appointment notice with the QR code too just with the new date scheduled. Has anyone else had this experience and was able to attend the appointment successfully? Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone, I have a few questions regarding the Adjustment of Status application and Form I-864 (Affidavit of Support): Household Size: My husband lives with me and his twin sister, but they do not share finances. He supports only me, his wife. For the Adjustment of Status application, should I list the household size as just the two of us, or do we need to include his twin sister even though they do not share finances? Income Discrepancy: My husband is the petitioner and currently has a stable job that meets the 125% poverty guideline for a two-person household. However, his income for the most recent and second most recent tax years meets the 125% threshold, but his income for the third most recent tax year is slightly below the requirement by a few thousand dollars. Will this discrepancy be an issue when filing Form I-864? Would we need a joint sponsor, or is his current and recent financial situation sufficient? Also, can we supplement the income in Part 7 of Form I-864 by including assets like savings and checking accounts? Social Security Number: I plan to request an SSN as part of my Adjustment of Status application. How can I ensure that my Social Security card reflects my husband's last name, or is this change processed automatically? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hi everyone, I recently scheduled my visa interview appointment, but I encountered an issue with my CGI profile. When I printed my appointment confirmation, I noticed that it has a different DS160 number from the one I originally submitted. As far as I recall, I didn't have to input my DS160 number during the application process. Now, I'm concerned about whether I can change this information and avoid having to pay the visa fee again. Could someone please guide me on how to update my DS160 number on the CGI profile? Do I need to call US Embassy service hotline? Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help.

Greetings, In the Philippines, our naming convention differs from that of the United States. Here, our middle name typically comprises our mother's maiden surname, as opposed to the American practice of utilizing a second first name or a middle name. In my particular case, my name structure consists of two first names, followed by a middle name (which is my mother's maiden surname), and finally, my last name. When completing the DS-160 form, should I consolidate all components of my name under "Given Name"? For instance: Surname: Lopez Given Name: Daisy Jane Cruz Thank you for your guidance.

Hey everyone, I just received my NVC K1-FTP on May 7th, and I'm eager to move forward with the process. I've heard some conflicting information about when to fill out the DS-160 form, so I wanted to clarify a few things. Firstly, I checked the status of my case with the provided case number on CEAC, and it currently shows as "in transit." My understanding is that I can start filling out the DS-160 form now, but I shouldn't submit it until my case status changes to "case ready." Is that correct? Another question I have is regarding the visa fee payment. Should I pay it now while my case is still "in transit," or should I wait until it's "case ready" before paying the fee and scheduling the interview? Additionally, for those who have gone through the process for the Philippines, I'm curious about the typical timeframe from "in transit" to "case ready." Any insights or experiences you can share would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, We recently received our NOA2 for our K1 visa application and are now preparing for the medical exam and interview. As the beneficiary, I'm considering getting the required vaccines in advance, but I'm unsure which ones are necessary. I've read various accounts online about the medical exam experiences, with some individuals receiving multiple shots while others only received a couple. I'm hesitant to undergo multiple vaccinations so close to my interview date, as I'm concerned about potential side effects that could affect my health during the interview. Could anyone provide advice or share their experiences regarding which vaccines are necessary for the K1 visa medical exam? I found a list on the CDC website (see attached picture), but I want to ensure it's accurate before proceeding. Thank you for your assistance.

We received the online NOA2 approval today but not the actual mail yet, my fiancé and I were trying to calculate the estimated time for the whole visa process. There are a lot of data here to use so we were able to estimate that in 106 days the visa will be in Manila US embassy, however we couldn't find any information on how long the wait time is for when we are able to schedule the interview. Does anyone know the actual step by step process for NVC to Manila US Embassy (or your beneficiary's home country)? There are a lot of articles but it can be confusing, I read that the letter from NVC will inform the petitioner to tell the beneficiary to apply for DS-160 right away. So when the NVC letter arrives, and the beneficiary applied for DS-160, does that lead to scheduling the interview date already? or the beneficiary will still wait for the embassy's mail before she can schedule the interview? Please help, thank you.

Thank you so much @Crazy Cat!! Sorry one last thing, his parents are both American but they are currently living the RV life. They don’t have permanent residence but they do stay at my fiancé’s apartment every now and then. In the question 31.a, they asked about the city of residence of his parents, should I just put the same city as to where he lives? So sorry for bothering, thank you so much.

NO, WE HAVENT, WE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE FASTER FOR K1 VISA, AND MY FIANCE CANNOT COME TO THE PHILIPPINES TO MARRY DUE TO HIS WORK, HE CANNOT TAKE TIME OFF AND FINISH ALL THE DOCUMENTS TO MARRY IN THE PHILIPPINES. CAN I ASK MORE QUESTIONS? HOW MANY CHAT CONVERSATION SCREENSHOTS SHOULD I PUT? I ALSO PLAN TO PUT VIDEO CALL SCREENSHOTS AND SOME LOVE LETTERS (FROM WHAT I HEARD THEY PUT SOME) AND ALSO SOME REMITTANCES RECEIPTS. ARE SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS NECESSARY? WE DONT POST A LOT SINCE WE WANT PRIVACY. ALSO FOR THE TRIP FLIGHT ITINERARIES AND HOTEL BOOKINGS, I HAVE ALL OF OUR TRIPS TWO TRIPS IN 2022 AND ONE TRIP IN 2023. SHOULD I ARRANGE THEM CURRENT TO OLDEST OR OLDEST TO NEWEST? HOPE YOU CAN ANSWER. THANK YOU @Crazy Cat

Hi, just want to ask about the I-120f form. On page 7, 38.e, asked the passport number of the beneficiary. The question on 38 was "has the beneficiary enter US." I thought I'll just put N/A to all blanks since the beneficiary didnt come to US but i saw a video saying the same case but they filled out the passport number saying that even though the beneficiary didnt enter US, the beneficiary still has a passport number so it shouldn't be N/A. and for the rest of the questions on number 28, they put N/A. should i follow this? please help. Thank you so much

Hi, currently filling out the I129f form, for the address history, our house was sold by my mother and we separated ways, when should be the end date for my previous address? Should it be the date of sale of the house or the actual day we left the house? Plus for my new and current address, it doesn’t match directly to the end date of my previous address since I stayed a while with my parents’ RV truck before moving in to a new apartment. Oh and also within that period I went to visit my gf in her country. So, does it matter that the addresses end date and start date don’t match? For the employment history, I was hired as an intern then later on become full time while still schooling, I’ve been a full time employee for almost two years now but I’m confused as to which date to put as my start date in this employer. Should I put the intern date or when I was really a full time employee? If so, I should put the intern employment on a separate portion? sorry for the many questions but please help. Thank you so much.

Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well. I am seeking advice and insights from those who have experience or knowledge about the K1 visa process. I am currently in a relationship with my American partner for four years, and he proposed to me in May 2022. We are thrilled about getting married and starting our lives together in the United States. However, we have not yet applied for the K1 visa, mainly due to our concerns about the timeline and income requirement. As I am from the Philippines, I have heard that the visa processing can be lengthy, which worries us as we eagerly await the opportunity to be together permanently. Additionally, my partner is a freshly graduate engineer with about a year and a half of full-time work experience. While his income meets the requirement, we wonder if there is a specific duration of full-time work that must be met for approval. Moreover, there is an added layer of apprehension due to my previous record of denial for a tourist visa in 2019. Although this is for a different visa category, I cannot help but worry if it might affect my chances for the K1 visa. We want to ensure that our application is strong and free from any potential hindrances, and any advice or guidance from those who have gone through similar experiences would be highly appreciated. Thank you all so much for your time and support.
