  1. Not at all. I emailed the embassy 2 weeks after my interview since I was placed in administrative processing and originally was told no additional documents were needed. There was no update to my file since the day of my interview. They responded to me a week later and told me they were waiting to receive my police certificate. If I didn't email them I wouldn't have known this.
  2. Congrats! I'm happy that your passport is going to be reunited with you soon and you can finally join your spouse. My visa hasn't been issued yet but the embassy received my police certificate on Monday so I'm hoping I'm not waiting too much longer.
  3. Something needs to be done because the wait times is beyond ridiculous. I hope for both of us that our cases resolves soon and please do update when you are approved.
  4. I'm happy that you got your connections to put heat on them to process your case quicker. From the stories I've read about the Montreal consulate I think they're grossly incompetent. I'd think it should take no more than 2 weeks for them to process an application that's only missing a document especially if it's a straight forward case. I haven't had my visa issued yet. I just recently sent my police certificate so I'm hoping it gets to them by early next week. I'm praying that I don't have to wait too much longer.
  5. I understand your frustration, I had my interview 2 weeks before you and my file showed refused and at the time they said no additional documents needed. Well I emailed them 2 weeks later and didn't hear back from them a week later for them to tell me that they're waiting for my police certificate since I did it wrong (jeez would've been nice if they told me this the day of my interview). Like yourself I'm frustrated with the lack of communication and just how slow they are. I could've done my police certificate 3 weeks earlier if they communicated. I haven't been able to work for over a month and this is very stressful for me. I'm hoping they approve you soon but I think it's egregious that it's taking nearly a month to just approve your medical.
  6. I'm sharing my experience with getting my police record November 22 Got fingerprinted at Commissionaires in London and got my police certificate on Dec 1. Much faster than I anticipated.
  7. Hi there I used this email to reach the embassy: montreal-iv-dv@state.gov They will reply back within 6-7 days. I haven't sent out my police certificate yet, I'm still waiting for the RCMP to mail it to me. I did my fingerprints last Tuesday. I'm hoping to receive it soon.
  8. Have you tried reaching out to the embassy via email to inquire about your status? Same thing happened to me I had my interview on Oct 31 and I was put into 221g and told they didn't need additional documents. I emailed them to inquire about my status 2 weeks after my interview and they responded to my email a week later and told me I need to send another police certificate. I'll be honest I'm irritated this wasn't communicated to me earlier. Pretty incompetent on their part. If I didn't email them I would've been still waiting.
  9. Thanks for the info. I was surprised they didn't send me a link to submit my documents but I will use the https://ais.usvisa-info.com/ link to submit my stuff via courier
