  1. Thank you for the clarification!!
  2. I know you guys gave me the formula and I do appreciate it. However, I’m not good at math plus English is my second language. Therefore, reading the formula that’s explained by sentences really confused me. That is why I googled and found this formula that’s understandable for me and I want someone to confirm if this formula is the right way to calculate individual annual income. Can anyone please confirm the formula below is the right way? (My husband gets paid weekly) “If you earn $25 per hour and work 40 hours per week, your weekly income is $25 * 40 =$1,000. Your annual income is $1,000 * 52 =$52,000. “ Please let me know if the formula above is the right way or not. If not then, can someone put the formula like above to explain so that way I can actually understand it.
  3. He accidentally got “tax account transcript” instead of tax return transcript. Now we have the right tax return transcript for 2022, thank you!! Also for Part6. Item 7. , if petitioner/sponsor is getting paid weekly, then we can use this formula below “If you earn $25 per hour and work 40 hours per week, your weekly income is $25 * 40 = $1,000. Your annual income is $1,000 * 52 = $52,000. ” to get the right number of current individual annual income correct?
  4. I meant *upload the paystub on nvc website
  5. So we can use the number my husband calculated his weekly pay for Part 6. Item 7. “My current individual annual income is”? And we update the paystub etc as supporting documents for this right? Also Part 6. Items 16.a -16.c, we know what total income for 2024 and 2023, however 2022 only has adjusted gross income on his federal tax return because there aren’t as many tax credits and deductions. In that case should we put “N/A”?
  6. We are currently collecting documents to submit on nvc website. Our household size is 3 including my husband who is a petitioner, me as beneficiary and our son. Our son was born in the states so my husband is only sponsoring me. When I look up poverty guidelines on USCIS website, it says household size of 3 (125% of HHS poverty guidelines) is $33,312. This number $33,312 is referring to the “total income” on your Federal Tax Return? Or can we use “total wages”? If anyone could inform us, that would be great! Thank you.
  7. My husband and I finally received email from nvc. We have been trying to make two payments for a week but every time we click “pay now” part on their website, it leads to the error page (the pics attached). It’s happening for a week. I tried on my laptop and phone and also my husband who lives in the us, tried the same thing but the result is the same. I also submitted inquiry on nvc website and all they said was “Thank you for contacting us regarding your difficulties logging into the Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC). The Department of State is aware of the problem and we are working quickly on a solution. There is nothing you need to do about this issue. We encourage you to continue attempting to access CEAC at a later time as this often appears to resolve the issue. Thank you for your patience while we work to resolve these difficulties.” Anyone else is having the same issues? What to do if this keeps happening? Is there a phone number or anything for nvc? Please advise, thank you!!
  8. so I checked I-130 my husband filed and applied, and that was on our mistake that we fill out both question 61 & 62. Knowing that, do you still think it’s worth trying to contact USCIS and senator? Or do you think if it’s us who filled out application wrong, then it doesn’t matter?
  9. Should we mail a letter to the congressman’s office? What would you say if it was your case?
  10. Do you guys think submitting this https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayTypoForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=typoError would help my situation?
  11. well I’m the beneficiary and I’m currently in japan. I haven’t been to the states since 2022. for I-824, that’s for me (beneficiary) to apply, correct? Because for I-130, that was petitioner’s job to file and apply?
  12. Hi there, My husband and I received notice of action 2 a week ago. However, it looks pretty different from what the people usually get. From my understanding, I thought after receiving NOA2, NVC will be mailing you or emailing you about next step. Our application stated that I (beneficiary) need to submit either I-485 or I-824. I have attached our notice we received. Can someone please help me what I should do next? Thank you in advance!
  13. On actual mail that came from USCIS it says it’s from Potomac Service Center. So I assume that’s the service center that’s processing our application?
  14. Hi! Thank you for your reply. My husband applied online and when we received NOA1 letter, it doesn’t say which service center it came from. How would we see which visa center our application went to? I’m in Japan but last year when I saw someone’s time line on blog, she got NOA 2 within like 6months so I didn’t think time period between NOA1 & NOA2 be so long. Do you think it changes recently that takes longer than before?
