  1. 🙌🏻 Now hang tight there. Do I remember correct that both of us are SF local field office? Seems like they kinda on a slow side with scheduling naturalization interviews…I filed on Oct 17 and not a peep since then. Patiently(not 😂) waiting for their invitation.
  2. Congrats! The difference is CONVENIENCE big time. Filing online you’ll be able to see all the receipts, notices and upload docs at your fingertip whenever you’d like. No need to wait for NOA to arrive via snail mail when you know they sent you a interview date. Can be checked right away.
  3. Now that I’m thinking about it Computer Workdays don’t make much sense to me though. Fiscal year and case number - yes, but not workdays. If receipt starts with 22900 how the heck can 900 be a workday?! There is only 365 days in a year 🙂 And I applied late October, first month of their new fiscal year, surely it cannot be a workday #900…hmmm What do I miss here, did you understand it better?
  4. Me neither until I found this article at some point, clarified some details to a point. Glad to be helpful when I can 😊
  5. OldUser is not mistaken. Here is a little more useful data for better understanding about how your receipt number forms: https://citizenpath.com/uscis-receipt-number-explained/
  6. Decided to check my case estimate and upon signing in into my USCIS account noticed that estimated data in months disappeared. Last time I checked it was showing «approx 3mo until decision on your case». Does anyone who still await for the invitation experiencing the same issue? Wondering if it’s just a glitch or they hid the data provided for the time being.
  7. Fascinating. Not every day you can see someone living in the same neck of the woods as yourself. East Bay ☺️
  8. Why would you need to concern yourself? Isn’t your current extension letter good thru Jan 2024 or so? Surely they either resolve your case before that date or send out another extension. Still plenty of time regardless.
  9. Yeah, they did not mention that in my RFE either. Who knows - either lost or just did not bother to write down the whole list. I chose to treat it as if they lost it and sent again along with other docs.
  10. I’m not gonna argue with you. I only have my RFE being successfully resolved so I speak of my own experience. They do ask in RFEs NOT to send what they already have. That’s what I did, sent what they didn’t list plus new pics and documents. To each their own. I’m only trying to help.
  11. That doesn’t sound right. Can you actually post a pic of RFE you got? Minus sensitive info in it - like your case number and initials. When I got mine they did use the same exact phrase “INSUFFICIENT EVIDENCE…” but they also wrote down WHAT they got from me, there was only a several pics and 1 tax return. That’s how I knew they lost my docs. So in your RFE did they list the entire list of everything you sent?! Pay attention to that detail, it’s very important.
  12. In my case getting an RFE in October was because apparently they just lost almost all we sent. So it’s either that or what Rocio0010 suggests - want some new stuff to make sure you’re still in your bona fide relationship. Go figure…anyhoo sometimes getting an RFE is not a bad thing. It moved my case! As soon as you reply and they acknowledge receiving it may take just 10 days before you see a desired “new card is being produced”. For now hang tight, receiving an actual paper RFE in my experience took exactly 1 week.
  13. Not sure of how long this member @OldUser awaits by now but doesn’t want to file N-400 either.
  14. If it’s any consolation - look at it this way on a bright side: maybe they don’t send out notices to whoever they are planning to adjudicate the case soon.
  15. You’re probably mixing up “service centers” and “local field offices”? People who at least filed online have NBC as their Service Center. And local field offices are the ones that are located the closest to your home where interviews are conducted. I only see lockboxes in filing section when people send N-400 old school in paper. I don’t know anything about those - how they get distributed from there.
  16. Not sure I’m following what you’re trying to say. I’m under impression that all N-400 cases are a matter of NBC.
  17. Yeap, I got one paper version of receipt notice and the other one was them letting me know they are able to reuse previously captured Biometrics. Both dated the same day.
  18. @BryceAndRebeca Good luck and an easy-going officer to you tomorrow. I’ll be eagerly waiting for your report on how did it go. What time is your interview?
  19. Thank you all for advice. Also special thanks to you @Rocio0010. From the time I sent my ginormous RFE organized exactly in a manner that you did for I-751 and used Acco binder + table of contents it took just 10 days to new card production. And yeah, USCIS couldn’t care less that it was not all loose papers. Worked well.
  20. @OldUser and @Rocio0010. Maybe you folks have something to recommend? See my comment above.
  21. I got a question and hope somebody can shed some light or offer their humble(or not so humble) opinion on that. At the time I applied for my naturalization in October I also had a pending I-751 case so naturally I attached pics of my conditional I-551. Now that I received my 10y green card in Feb I’m on the fence if I should: 1) reattach pics with my new green card details instead of a conditional one 2) or add new pics with 10y green card under unsolicited evidence 3) or do nothing and provide examining officer with updates on the spot. I mean they do ask during the interview anyways if there is anything else/new I’d like to hand out to them for scanning and adding to my case. Thanks, appreciate any input.
  22. I’d bring the original old invitation letter as it has the same date anyways or both - old original invitation + a copy of the new one. You should be just fine.
  23. It is not common but I’ve seen it does happen to some people, especially recently. They will reschedule. Sorry it happened to you.
