Alrighty, now that’s a wrap, my peeps. I had my naturalization interview today, Sept 13 in SF office. Seems like I was the very first person called by a very nice tall young male officer. My interview overall took maybe 20-25 mins and was a breeze, felt like talking to a friend. Since my appt was so early in the day they had a chance to schedule me for the same day ceremony at 11am. It was about 60 folks, all done very quickly and off we go. BEST OF LUCK to still waiting people and happy to answer any additional questions you may have.

Does anybody of you know or do you plan yourself to apply not only for passport but a passport card too? I can’t remember where on the forum I’ve seen info about it. Not sure if I’d need a passport card on top of a passport book. Somehow I recall it’s been recommended to have a card too 🤔 Links are appreciated too, thanks.

Good luck to both you and I 🍀 You were right. Lawfully app is awesome, I just got a notification from them again that my interview is scheduled then checked my USCIS profile and under Docs tab found my date. Short notice - they expect me already on Sept 13. Usually it is a generous 5 weeks warning. Time to brush up on Civics, haha. Not a bad present for my b-day 😊

I hope you’re moving somewhere that has nothing to do with SF field office, @OldUser what a shitshow 😄 Aug 26 I got a notification from Lawfully App that there is a new update on my N-400 case so naturally I was hoping for an invitation. To my dismay it was yet another “Your case is being actively reviewed”??????! Wtaf. I already had this status hanging from Oct 17, the only thing changed is just a date 😂 Now that they are behind their 9.5mo of average processing time given on the website they looked at my case again, got rid off dust from its cover so to speak and put it back on the shelf 😳 I was at “ET: things are taking longer than expected” now it’s back to 10 months. I’m so confused here. Conveniently for them they hid their actions. If I look at MyUscis profile case history does not show that I ever had “As of Oct 17 2022 we are actively reviewing your case”, it only has Aug 26 now!!! Like it was never there. They make it look like they’ve literally just picked it up…or not. We shall see. Wonder if smthg like this happened to other members. Lawfully has both dates. I kept the screenshot. My only hope that it CAN be a good sign that they are finally ON it and working, but don’t hold my breath really.

N400 - October 2022 Filers
Elena & Craig replied to Nkrish83's topic in US Citizenship Case Filing and Progress Reports
I’m Oct 17 filer(SF field office), just one day ahead of you and it’s being crickets for me too 😏 I’m not exactly worried about it though, I’m aware of the whole bunch of people who applied after me and already got their interviews, frustrating, yes…It seems to me that USCIS is randomly picking cases from every single month and some people just got luckier than us. The rest will have to wait. Anyhoo I checked on the website and the earliest they would accept an inquiry about the case from Oct is March, so hang tight there. I’m only glad I have my 10y green card on hands- 207 replies

Hearty congratulations on achieving this milestone. Olga and I stay in touch and it’s being crickets for both of us. In her case not a peep about either of the cases(correct me, Olga, if something changed) and me, well I have my 10y GC as of Feb 1 if you briefly remember my story and nooooothing on N-400 as of yet. Nearly 10 months passed by… P.S. Somehow my answer got attached to your message, OldUser 😄

N-400 September 2022 Filers
Elena & Craig replied to Canadian87's topic in US Citizenship Case Filing and Progress Reports
Interesting 🤨 then my “new fiscal year” theory doesn’t work here because where is Sep-Oct and where is March, far apart, right. I’m out of ideas 😂 Waiting from March 2023 doesn’t sound as terrible as waiting from Aug-Sept-Oct 2022 but hey, I don’t know time estimates for Seattle office, bummer your case is taking longer than others. We can all commiserate here. -
N-400 September 2022 Filers
Elena & Craig replied to Canadian87's topic in US Citizenship Case Filing and Progress Reports
Hello to a fellow SF filer 👋🏻 I sent my application mid-October and also finally having “ET until case decision: approx. 7 days”, was really-really hoping to get a date soon but I guess these words with how many days left mean none to nothing…Frustrating and infuriating. Seeing that some other folks applied in Dec or even April 2023 ALREADY got their invitations makes me feel upset. I mean good for them but Wtaf, USCIS!!! 🤬 And yes, my case number starts with 94 as well. I think that has to do with new USCIS fiscal year starting I believe every September. -

This could work but I believe there is also an online inquiry you can make. I can’t any more precise details as I did not need to find any inquiries so far. You’ll have to do this homework by yourself. If you gonna call to USCIS the fastest way to reach out a real person to talk to would be asking for a InfoPass appt(you don’t need one but that way you can actually talk to a real person to ask your questions). Good luck!- 207 replies

Still there is no harm in reaching out to poke them. May or may not help.- 207 replies

I’d say it is most unusual, try sending them an inquiry about that.- 207 replies

I wish I could say the same…really need that new citizen passport, missing out on a family trip rn. Should be in Paris and Amsterdam with my husband right at this very moment I type. Sigh! With my current passport it would be such a pain in the butt to apply for Schengen visa and they also issue them strictly for the dates you are supposed to spend there 😏 Used to be much more better with a leeway. Decided to hold on any abroad trips that require visa.
