Hello,
Please mark me as red. I had a wonderful oath ceremony yesterday and received my Certificate of Naturalization.
I did have all my paperwork to apply for the passport but due to the busyness of the day, we decided to apply at later date from our local post office. I will be applying sometime in the next couple of weeks.
I thank you all for being part of this journey and wish you all the very best!

Hi, trinket, what happened to your case status after your interview? when did it update to oath scheduled? I'm in Indy as well.
Hey there,
I had an update notification a couple of hours after my interview. This notification to notify that they have approved my application. And then another notification stating that they have scheduled an oath ceremony date for me. These were just text/email notification, there were no updates on the website itself.
Then the next morning I received a case update notice and the website showed that I attended the interview and in line for the oath ceremony.
And then another hour or so later got another notification of document update and this time it was my oath ceremony letter which they uploaded on the website.
Have you heard anything back yet? Hopefully, you get your oath ceremony date soon enough. Best wishes.

My 3rd year GC Anniversary was September 25, 2018. On Sept 27, 2018, there was an update on my case. I was scheduled for my N400 testing & interview on November 6, 2018. I'm excited and nervous at the same time!
You would do great! Congratulations on getting the interview date.

Got my passport today - a week after my naturalization ceremony, not expedited. For those of you that are going to go to their oath ceremonies- my advice would be take a passport photo with you in case the local passport agency comes to the ceremony to take applications. I was one of the very few people to apply that day, so it was quick to apply and apparently quick to get the passport back. Haven’t seen the naturalization certificate back yet, but hopefully that will come soon.
Thank you for this tip. I will make sure to get a passport picture of mine for my upcoming Oath ceremony.

How did you get the official citation information? Would one have to contact each city DMV where they have resided for this information?
Thanks

Hello,
I went to my local county traffic court office. Cost me $2.00 but the price may vary depending on your county court.

Got an email notification that my oath ceremony has been scheduled. Hopefully the USCIS website uploads the letter soon.

Hello all,
I had my interview a couple of hours ago and it went successfully. At the end of the interview the officer said that she is recommending me for the citizenship but she also does a quality review (basically another background check) for all applicants, and once that is done I should get oath ceremony notification.
I am a little puzzled as I have not read others going through the quality review. My other confusion is that I received two emails at the same time and I am wondering if the quality review has already been completed or not.
Got this email - -
We recommended that your Form N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION, Receipt Number IOE**********, be approved. On September 20, 2018, your case was submitted for quality review.
And then this email - -
We placed you in line for your oath ceremony and will send you a notice for Receipt Number IOE*********, with the date, time, and location of your oath ceremony. You should receive your notice within 30 days of its mailing date.
The interview itself was pretty straightforward. The yes and no questions. Apparently the system showed that I left a bunch of those blank, but I didn't. The print out copy I had showed all of them to be filled.
We discussed my traffic citation and I gave her the certified disposition from county Court showing I did pay it off. I personally suggest everyone to keep and present all citation information, some officers are more stricter than the others.
The civic questions were easy. It went really fast.
The English test was pretty simple as well.

Hi All,
I had my interview at Buffalo today. It was really quick - in and out in about 10 minutes. The IO peppered me with a bunch of rapid fire questions, giving me barely a moment to think As a result I don’t remember all 6 of my civics questions, but the ones I remember are:
- Why did the colonists fight the British?
- Name the Vice President
- ....
She didn’t want to see any of my other documents. I’d forgotten to put two traffic tickets on my N-400, but she didn’t care as long as there wasn’t an arrest involved, which there wasn’t. She also didn’t make any note of the fact that I’d travelled three times outside the country since the application.
She only asked for three documents: Passport, Green card and social security card. I didn’t have the social security card on me (wasn’t on any list I’d seen), but she said it didn’t matter.
My oath ceremony will be on 9/17 in the morning.
@love_my_wife (or someone else), would you be able to update the list for me?
Thanks for all the help, fellow journeyers!
Congratulations!

yes. it was in ur n400 form. the The NO questions and the questions with YES answer.
Ahh, thanks. I misread you and thought the yes and no questions were part of the civic question. Thanks for the clarification.

hello, thanks for your replied, I check my account dhs.com and its status they are reviewed my biometric, may I ask, how long it will change to in line to interview, and how many months they show estimate case completion in your account, thanks
Hi there,
Mine never changed to in-line for an interview and changed to We scheduled your interview. This happened two weeks after my biometrics. I am in Indiana, so really depends on your state and wait time.

If you call or go to the clerks office were the ticket was issued they can give you a certified deposition. It cost me about five dollars,1.50 for deposition and the rest was mailing because i live in a different state.
Thank you! I believe this is exactly what I needed.

hello, may I ask, after you done your biometric, how long the case status remove the biometric has been scheduled and change to they are reviewing your biometric, thank you
Hey there,
The day I did the biometrics, I received an auto email/text within 10 minutes of leaving the building. It basically said -- Your Case Status: Initial Review -- we are actively reviewing your Form N400.
My biometrics was on Friday. I received another email on Saturday Morning stating -- We have taken an action on your case.
The website update was done by Monday morning.

Hey Everyone,
I had a traffic citation around three years ago. I was a new driver and misjudged a sharp turn, freaked out and wrecked into a building. No damages to the building or any other being, other than my ego.
Anyway, since I was on a learner's permit and did wreck into the building I got a citation, paid my dues (around $135.00) and kinda forgot about it all.I did fill out the info on my N-400 application and my interview is scheduled for next month.
While I was making sure of all the paperwork, I realize that I don't have any official court record of this incident. The county office's website states that they destroyed the case file in March of 2018.
They still do have my info on the public website for anyone to search but at the same time, it states that it isn't the official court record.
Any suggestions on how should I prepare for this? Would the paperwork from county website be sufficient enough?
It does show all the details and my payment and everything.I also did obtain official driver's record from our state which does show those points I got back then. But not sure how I can obtain the citation court record when they destroyed it.

Had my biometrics today. It was an in and out in 10 minutes situation with joking around with the staff there. Really, they were very professional and hilarious at the same time.
My biometrics was for 11:00 am today at the Louisville, KY office.
It is a different time zone for us and we live 2.5 hours away. Other than the long drive and back, it was a decent day

Hey guys,
Do we have to let USCIS know of any employment change while the N-400 application is pending? My husband is most likely going to start a new job within the same city, in another month or so. I didn't see any info update form for the spouse. Thanks

Hello,
I am filling out the renunciation application on VFS global. I am a little confused on what does this option mean?
What kind of stamp are they talking about?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
