  1. Thank you very much for the detailed explanation. I want to be truthful and provide honest information, so I will answer "Yes".
  2. I am extremely confused about this section, as I read on this forum that "To meet the terms of the K1 visa, you just need to marry in the US within 90 days of entry. No requirement to file AOS within 90 days." Does that mean I haven’t violated the terms of my nonimmigrant status (K-1 visa)?
  3. So, in Part 1, Question 27, I should write "Out of status" instead of "K-1," and answer "Yes" to Question 17 in Part 8 ("Have you ever violated the terms and conditions of your nonimmigrant status?"). In the Additional Information section, should I provide an explanation like, "My I-94 expired on dd/mm/yy "?
  4. While reviewing my I-485, I came across Question 17 in Part 8: "Have you ever violated the terms and conditions of your nonimmigrant status?" Since my I-94 expired at the end of September but my K-1 visa is still valid, does this count as a violation? Should I also provide an explanation in Part 14 (Additional Information) explaining that my K-1 visa is still valid?
  5. I'm a bit confused about what to write in Section 27 Part 1 of the I-864 form regarding my current immigration status. My I-94 expired at the end of last month, but the K-1 visa in my passport is still valid until the end of this month. Should I write "K-1" or "Out of Status"?
  6. While reviewing my husband's 2021 and 2022 IRS tax transcripts, I noticed that his mother was listed as a dependent on both. Since she passed away in 2023, should I include her death certificate with the I-864 to show that she's no longer a dependent, even though she isn’t listed on the 2023 IRS transcript?
  7. I have one more question regarding filling out the forms. I downloaded the latest versions of the I-485 and I-864, but certain sections can't be filled out using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Is it okay to fill in these sections with a black pen?
  8. Thank you so much for your advice. I used the seach bar and found out that my DS 3025 is correct, and providing evidence of continued shots won't hurt. So I will definitely include my most recent COVID-19 vaccine
  9. My DS 3025 is complete, as it is marked "K Visa applicant voluntarily completed vaccination requirements". I'm from Russia. The COVID-19 vaccines accepted in the U.S. weren't available in my country. We have our own vaccine, called Sputnik V developed by the Gamaleya Research Center. I received two shots in the spring of 2021 as indicated in my vaccination record. However, I'm still unsure if I need to provide my U.S. vaccination record as well (I received a Moderna shot recently).
  10. Thank you for the information. I thought I-131 was quick and wanted to avoid having my husband pay the $630 fee. However, it's better to be safe than sorry.
  11. Thank you so much for your detailed response! It helps a lot. I will definitely include some evidence of a bona fide marriage. We have a joint bank account and a lease agreement with my name on it. As far as I understand, my DS-3025 is absolutely fine and I can file it straight away. Do I still need to attach a copy of my recent COVID-19 vaccination record to minimize the chances of being RFE'd?
  12. I arrived in the U.S. on a K-1 visa and married the petitioner (a U.S. citizen). I'm currently filling out the forms and getting a bit confused, so I have several questions: 1. Do I need to file the I-130 together with the I-485? I arrived on a K-1 visa and we previously filed I-129F 2. I saw that the document list mentions a certified copy of the marriage certificate. What does "certified copy" mean? Is it a copy notarized by a notary public? 3. Do we need to provide evidence of a bona fide marriage (e.g., joint bank accounts, lease agreement) when applying for the I-485? 4. Regarding the Affidavit of Support, should we submit W-2s and 1040s along with IRS tax transcripts? Are tax transcripts required for the past three years or just the most recent year? Does my husband also need to provide pay stubs and a letter from his employer? 5. My DS-3025 , which I received when applying for the K-1 visa, was valid until 09/30/2024 (now expired). Under the vaccination documents section, it says that I voluntarily completed the vaccination requirements as a K Visa applicant. I also have a tuberculosis worksheet and a vaccination documentation worksheet with all the vaccines completed, except for COVID-19 (the U.S.-accepted vaccines weren't available in my country). I’ve since completed the COVID-19 vaccination in the U.S. Should I still submit the I-693 form signed by a civil surgeon, or will my DS-3025, vaccination record, and COVID-19 certificate be sufficient? And, finally. 6. I have a question regarding form I-131 (Advance Parole). I understand it is optional. If I need to travel to my home country in case of an emergency, will I be able to file the I-131 and receive Advance Parole quickly, or is it recommended to file it in advance? Thank you so much. Your assistance is highly appreciated.
