  1. Make physical copies of N-600 certificates as well as digital backup in the cloud. I don't believe officer would be searching their online status. Instead there must be a different database where he'd enter name, date of birth etc and get info about legal status and citizenship. Worst case, again, you'd have copies and could get replacement. Online case status is for convenience, I don't think it has any legal weight.
  2. @hammanta does she have valid state ID or Driver's License and Social Security Card without wording "Valid for work only with DHS authorization?". If yes, that's all she needs for I-9. Employer cannot demand to see GC, it's illegal. Don't ever show GC to employer, it never helps.
  3. So you're saying certificates were issued and you're worried about online status for their cases? It just means officer was lazy to press the button to update status. It doesn't matter. Nobody ever going to look at this online status. Kids have proof of their citizenship. Online status is primarily for applicants to track their case. As far as I know, it's nothing to worry about.
  4. Estimated time is a joke. It's completely random.
  5. Yes it did increase in April 2024. $750 is the full amount.
  6. Not sure about 1-751. The I-751 fee is $750. There's no separate biometrics fee anymore

  8. VJ is a better source of information compared to AI. The tricky part is, Google now includes summary generated by AI related to search at the top of page. Many people think it's a search result, but it's a statement from AI which may not be accurate. It would be cool though to create a custom language model based on upvoted replies in VJ threads.
  9. Agreed, vaccinations may be covered by insurance, but exam itself - not really.
  10. 4-8 weeks is normal wait time. When did you sent it?
  11. These are accepted docs in Illinois: https://www.ilsos.gov/publications/pdf_publications/dsd_x173.pdf So need GC or EAD card. May use valid I-94, but that's typically for people on work visas the way I understand it.
  12. Typically you can get state ID / DL when you get a EAD. Did you file form I-765 with your AOS packet? But it depends on state laws.
  13. Allowed Come to the US on ESTA => Get married => Leave on time => Go through CR-1 visa process Not allowed Come to the US on ESTA => Get married => Stay in the US and try adjusting status to get GC Remarks Now, if CBP learns fiance is about to get married in the US, they may not let person in as the may not believe they'll leave on time. Also, fiance should give truthful answers to any questions by CBP. If caught on lying (misrepresentation) this will have complications in any future immigration process.
  14. Nobody can tell for sure. CBP has discretion to let or not let visitors into the US. Chances of getting denied entry increase if they learn you're married to US citizen.
  15. Yes the fees are $715 + $300 Are you in valid immigration status right now?
  16. This is an important question @Sixt
  17. Are you in lawful status now? Check fees here: https://www.uscis.gov/g-1055 AFAIK you needed to pay $715 + $300 (self-petitioner)
  18. It's a good idea to get vaccinations and complete DS-3025 exam fully before entering the US on K-1. Getting missing vaccinations and completing I-693 exam is typically a lot more expensive in the US than finishing everything overseas.
