  1. The other angle to look at it is... The purpose of immigrant visa is to reunite US citizen with their foreign spouse. If you already live together elsewhere, you're already reunited, and why should a visa be given? This is why domicile is important. Living together as a proof is more critical for adjustment of status cases.
  2. You don't want to do the minimum. The more the better. $30-40K+ is much more likely to get accepted. And $100K+ is for sure accepted. I'm not an immigration lawyer, but to me claiming FEIE highlights you're living abroad and working abroad, undermining your claim to have US domicile.
  3. About 7392 August filers are still waiting for their interviews.
  4. There's definitely some progress! December 2024 filers stats as of 03/03/2025 @ 12:50 PM ET: Approved: 875 Denied: 8 Fingerprints Scheduled: 451 Interview Cancelled: 92 Interview Scheduled: 8764 Pending: 4 Processing: 17372 Received: 22 ResponseToRFE: 8 RFE: 90 Terminated: 2 Withdrawal: 16 OathCeremonyNotice: 396 OathCeremonyScheduled: 433 OathCeremonyReady: 1
  5. There's always a minority of cases who get approved blazing fast.
  6. NOA issued in November is a sign of November filer IMHO
  7. Overseas I-130 cases take about 17 months
  8. It's not the case since April 2024 They will keep it. You need to ask civil surgeon for a copy when you go to exam.
  9. Just need to be patient. Only 30% of December 2024 filers got interviews already
  10. As @Ontarkie mentioned, perhaps consulate isn't happy with what you submitted
  11. Yes, this is correct for I-485 form. Check the box to issue card, this will save you trip to SSA. If I-765 approved, restricted card will be sent. Then when I-485 is approved, unrestricted card will be sent.
  12. The processing times would look much worse if cases were processed strictly based on first in first out basis. Plus some cases are genuinely easier, especially if under general provision, especially if no pending I-751, no criminal history, no divorces or children, and safe country of origin.
  13. AOS after K-1 takes a year or so to process. I-129F can expire, but I-130 shouldn't.
  14. MyProgress estimate can be safely ignored. Check documents tab to see if biometrics was reused. Good luck!
  15. No delay will occur if you upload extra evidence. Nobody is looking at your file right now
  16. 1. Every entry is CBP officer discretion. 2. Why not just marry and do CR-1? 3. Canada is slower in the last several years 4. Can't comment 5. No. All K-1s are processed at same service center regardless of location in the US.
  17. Did he provide proof of US citizenship?
