  1. A) What rule is she applying under? 3 or 5? B) Did she maintain ties to the US (such as keeping lease, job, property in the US)?
  2. I wouldn't worry about it, especially if you truly answered all questions to your best knowledge at the time. If you knew and misrepresented, that would be a different story.
  3. The only advice is to pay taxes moving forward and be careful with answers. Unless you owed hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars in taxes, the likelihood of somebody revisiting your file is pretty low. There has to be a reason such as: a) You're sponsoring somebody for immigration benefit soon b) You do something very bad that causes government to look into ways for denaturalizing you There's millions of naturalized citizens living in the US today. I believe only few hundred denaturalization cases were filed in the last few years. It's probably not going to happen. It's not to say anybody applying now should be relaxed and lie in their application... Because while the risk of denaturalizaton is low, it's there.
  4. I *believe* VJ policy prohibits generative AI replies. While many replies may be accurate, AI may generate a lot of bad responses due to "hallucinations".
  5. Please don't use generative AI for important matters such as immigration, whether it's Microsoft Copilot, Chat GPT, Gemini or something else. As outlined earlier, the worst case you can get SSN later, amend taxes and get money back.
  6. It depends on your priorities. I got passport first, then did SSA.
  7. Thank you @ODAAT Yes, the check box on N-400 didn't work for me @stag Here's the story:
  8. Alternatively, wait for 3 years to apply for N-400 since the last trip lasting over 6 months. That is, of course, if applying based on marriage to US citizen.
  9. Yes, N-400 online form has some bugs. I've seen some with Other Names Used and while listing other citizenships. If it makes you happier, you can write and explanation for employment and upload as PDF in additional evidence.
  10. Yes, she needs exact addresses and dates where she lived. She doesn't have to list all hotel / motel / AirBnb addresses if she went for vacation for few days and stayed somewhere. How many times did she move in the last 5 years?
  11. True Who's he and what's wrong with current Bahamas government?
  12. @abaldo last visited this website more than 2 years ago, on April 25, 2023. Don't expect a reply soon.
  13. Also testing Palau ID? 😃 Joking. Until certain point, in some undisclosed European country I was sold beer without ID at age of 12, because "I was buying it for my parents"
  14. MM/YYYY: July 2025 Location: California, US Business / organization: Safeway Check type: Age verification Reason: Alcohol purchase Result: Success Details: Got asked for ID by a young man at check out when purchasing wine along with groceries. He got suprised for a second, but within 2-3 seconds confirmed my age and proceeded as normal. The check was pretty soft though and relaxed (ID or say your date of birth). Wonder how it would have gone with stricter check. Cc @TBoneTX only took another attempt at buying booze 😃
  15. You may never receive EAD/AP and get GC after interview. Good luck!
  16. Yes, it's possible get either biometrics or interview apppointment within 2 months of filing. I got interview 3.5 months after filing.
  17. You need marriage cert for most recent marriage if you're still married. Or divorce certificate. Yes, you may get asked questions. Just be ready to answer them.
  18. No, prior approvals don't mean automatic approval in the future. Maybe the other person with bad history applied for visa after your brother's first visa was approved. Or the databases finally synched from different locations. Passport numbers are different every time somebody gets a new passport, even the same person.
  19. I'm really sorry, but I disagree with spotless definition, as you mentioned: Your case is NOT squeaky clean in my opinion. At the same time, would you be detained or deported or denied citizenship? Probably not, these are not issues that result in denial of citizenship typically. Most likely, you'll naturalize just fine. Good luck!
