  1. My understanding is, you filed I-751 with divorce waiver? The next step is USCIS will issue RFE to get your copy of divorce decree. Then probably an interview (sometimes it's waived) and decision. You're waiting no longer than a lot of jointly filed I-751 applicants. The processing times are very slow for everybody unfortunately.
  2. +100 to that, with certified mail. My opinion may be unpopular, but this is the reason I would always file any forms on paper, including AR-11 for address change etc. Paper evidence is still the king in 2023 unfortunately.
  3. You should have started your own thread instead of hijacking existing thread. As long as you have a GC and valid extension letter, you will be OK to travel overseas. It shouldn't be different to travelling on extension letter if you were to file I-751 jointly.
  4. Agreed, it can happen, but we haven't seen too many of those to say it's the mainstream. As explained to OP, it's a little risk.
  5. 2 years is not unusual nowadays. Though USCIS promised to roll out risk based approach. Some cases we've seen lately took only 3-4 months, which is super fast, considering on average people wait between 1 and 2 years. Find a thread from year ago and see how it went: https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/86-removing-conditions-on-residency-general-discussion/
  6. @prettylilraindrop You will receive extension letter soon after filing for ROC. Typically it takes between 2 and 6 weeks. You will need this letter AND expired green card to travel. They will issue it before biometrics and any RFEs.
  7. Essentially, she needs to be back in the US by the time it expires or if she has extension letter, by the time letter expires. Do you have pending I-751 or you're yet to file?
  8. Unless you absolutely cannot attend for a serious reason, do not reschedule. Unless you want to be waiting again for several months.
  9. So is this resolved @Reed1812? What steps did you take to resolve it?
  10. Congratulations! It must be a huge relief! Did you have any RFEs? Or did you have to simply wait?
  11. Interview in 6 weeks after N-400 submission is unlikely. Even biometric appointment in 6 weeks after submission is a small chance. Either file now and accept the small risk of receiving biometrics, or file after vacation. Generally the process takes several months. You can check processing times here https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/
  12. @Cody LA it should get easier from here! If you're a British citizen and travel frequently, you can also get Global Entry. Some credit cards offer it for free. It makes life easier when crossing US border and travelling domestically (since it comes with TSA Pre).
  13. I see, I don't remember exact dates for ranges. The first case of the fiscal year starts at 00000 (last five digits) and increments by 1 with each new application. Also, I'm sure the number of cases can go well into 6-7 digits, I just haven't searched too much, it's time consuming.
  14. There's many cases, each new case is +1. Somebody who applied beginning of November may have lower number, I think it's around 9000, at the end is close to 24000-25000.
  15. Didn't you apply for N-400? Plus had an RFE? Those are potentially factors why your case hasn't yet been approved in 11XXX range. Hopefully USCIS will revisit that range soon, but I think it's only sadly natural it's taking longer for it to get approved. The case may also be held waiting for N-400, so combo interview is performed. On a plus side, you'll get naturalized before anybody who hasn't applied for N-400 yet (people like me)
  16. @Olga&Jared today as of 1 PM PT seeing a few more approvals in upper 21XXX range as well as 6 approvals in lower 22XXX range. 1 RFE in upper 22XXX range. Hoping WAC will continue this pace!
  17. @Explorer124 USCIS will happily take your money and deny you. You need to pass both physical presence and continuous residence tests to be eligible foe naturalization. You're not eligible. This is the one of the first things they look for.
  18. One time password. Allows signing in to website using password sent via SMS or email.
  19. Or personal check, if you can keep the required balance in your account.
  20. There's no new extension, there is ADIT (I-551) stamp in passport valid for 1 year.
  21. Fantastic news! It's unfortunate sometimes immigrants have to work extra hard to get what they're entitled to by law. Did you get SSN? That may be another "fun" activity at SSA.
  22. No joke, I've seen eggs being sold for $15-20 in some Bay Area stores. The other day me and another gentleman grabbed two remaining packs on the shelf at large Target store (was around $8 for the dozen).
  23. It's hard to tell what effect it may have. Sure, this may delay N-400 interview, but would you want to have N-400 conducted to only wait longer for I-751 approval? At least there is a possibility of USCIS honoring it and performing combo interview. Could requesting combo interview derail I-751 from it's track towards waived interview? Sure. But nobody knows upfront whether I-751 is going to be approved without interview or require one, whether it's going to be approved before N-400 interview, at the combo interview or after.
  24. I would do that, but would love to hear opinion of somebody who's done it already.
