    With extension letter, online check in is usually not available. You would need to get to the airport earlier to check in at airline desk. It may take some time to explain what the letter is and how to do it. They're terrible at that sometimes.

    Hi I'm waiting since November 2021, my case is in 23XXX range. I haven't applied for N-400, so local field office is irrelevant. My application is processed by service center, unless I will be scheduled for an interview.

    US passport is issued to US nationals also, who are not US citizens. Birth certificate or Naturalization certificate is the stronger evidence and I would include it instead of passport.

    Overstay of 14 years is not a easy case IMHO. We don't know all the details of law enforcement interactions (if any), travel (if any), employment (if any). Higher level of scrutiny is almost guaranteed.

    Rocio didn't mention US passport. Her USC husband may not necessarily have it. BC is applicable in this situation in my opinion.

    Sorry I am a bit confused. If your employer is in India and you also are in India, why are you talking about H1B? H1B is for employment in the USA.

    Let me repeat that, I do not believe you qualify for National Interest Waiver. Not all people with Masters Degrees and PhD qualify for it. You have to have something exceptional in your case + you better have recommendation letters from top Cyber security experts in the US asking US government to help you. Don't waste your time, search for employer who can sponsor you for H1B and play the free DV lottery.

    I am very sorry to hear about your parents and I wish them a recovery! Unfortunately, this is not a reason why USCIS would expedite your request. The processing times are not to be fully trusted, but for majority of time, the actual processing times are worse than stated on website. When did you file? If not so long ago, you should brace yourself for few years of wait.

    Hi @Daniel Vas your case does not seem to qualify for National Interest Waiver. If your introduction was "Hi my name is Daniel and I am a PhD in Computer Science and a Turing Award winner with 20 years of experience in the field" then maybe it was qualifying. Your route is either DV lottery or H1B. Good luck!

    This is a classic story of concurrent I-751 and N-400 nowadays, unfortunately. All you have is to wait. It may take weeks and months for decision to be made.

    Why doesn't your wife have ITIN or SSN? Has she tried obtaining it? What is her immigration status? If she's seeking immigration benefit, USCIS may not like you filing Single when you're married.

    N-400 cannot be completed without I-751 (ROC). N-400 depends on approval of I-751.

    The risk is small but it does exist. From what I observed, lately USCIS focused a lot on N-400s, scheduling them way faster than they used to. It's a personal choice. For myself, I've decided not to apply 90 days early, whether I end up applying under 3 or 5 year rule. It's not like naturalizing 90 days earlier would matter to me 20 years later...
