  1. Looks like your I-751 has been approved. Congrats! Meaning easier N-400 adjudication.
  2. That's normal for 48 months extension. My status also didn't change when I got one.
  3. I'd diversify the risks by keeping one in safe place and another with you. Personally, I will continue travelling with my 24 months extension, and only switch to a newer 48 month once it's close to its expiration. Which would be say December 2023, considering current one expires end of February 2024.
  4. I'm sorry to dissapoint you, but you spoke to tier 1 agent who likely didn't know what's going on with your case. They're likely gave you a satisfactory response to get you off the chat and serve the next person. Do not buy into what they said to you. Majority of cases go through "being actively reviewed by USCIS", before switching to other status. Usually it doesn't mean much, as people see this status for weeks or months. Another infamous status is "Interview is ready to be scheduled". Some people see it for up to a year. 1. It's totally fine you haven't received the letter, usually it takes 2-6 weeks after filing. 2. You cannot be sure whether biometrics will be reused. You may be invited for appointment, watch out for a letter and case status. It may take up to 6 months after filing to receive it! 3. It's very undesirable to miss biometrics appointment if you get it while abroad. Your case may be denied because of missing it. 4. Don't travel overseas without GC + extension letter or ADIT (I-551) stamp in passport. Good luck!
  5. This sounds like an extension letter. AFAIK USCIS doesn't update status when sending 48 month extension letter for existing pending cases.
  6. Agreed, I-751 cannot be filed online. Don't ever apply for neutralization, it's sounds like a scary term I don't know the meaning of in immigration context. Good luck with naturalization next year.
  7. Likely a 48 month extension letter if you don't have one yet. Especially if status didn't change online.
  8. I'm not sure about that. A colleague of mine received approval notice recently, but still waiting for GC to be printed. YMMV.
  9. Please remain calm and make sure you're not overly emotional in your email communication. Do you have copies of everything submitted? If not, try getting everything ASAP for your records. You can also gently remind them that you can file a bar complaint in case if the issue is not fixed for free or the fees are not refunded to you.
  10. I don't see it, I only replied to somebody's comment about their document tab. Usually only filers with IOE case numbers see it, and not everybody.
  11. If no status update, most likely it's extension letter. Keep us updated.
  12. The question is whether the trip you're planning to take is important? If you can postpone or cancel it, why not just do that? I'll give you some peace of mind instead of you worrying. The very worst scenario, you can apply for immigrant visa via consular route, I guess? This is if you're denied entry, abandoned your AOS and have to start the immigration process over. By this time you are already married, your spouse files I-130 and by the end of the process you'll get 10 year GC since you are going to be married for over 2 years by then.
  13. Glad to hear it all worked out @Diane and Chris! I'm pretty sure people working on cases click wrong buttons on computer all the time, causing confusing and scary status updates. Time to celebrate!
  14. I don't believe U4U allows adjustment. However, imagine your mother in law was here on visit visa. What would be the basis for her adjustment? Who would sponsor her for immigration benefit? I'd consult with a lawyer to see if there is a path. I don't see it.
  15. You can certainly formally give up your LPR status. I wonder though whether you'll be able to get B-2 visa again in the near future. Or weather CBP will be ok with allowing you into the states... The reasons being: 1. You showed immigration intent by applying for GC and getting it 2. Your spouse is US citizen 3. You have family in the US
  16. Yes, I-90 first and attach the receipt to N-400. Best to file under 5 year rule. 3 year marriage based filing requires more evidence and is unnecessary. You can submit everything electronically.
  17. @CelloLover AFAIK any international air travel requires passport or travel document which looks like passport.
  18. Yes, bring the tax transcripts. They demonstrate good moral character for naturalization purposes. He may never be asked to show them, but it's best to bring them in case if he's asked.
