  1. Can be done for LPR at any stage of journey.
  2. @LucyF looks like problems with affidavit of support. Did you submit it? Was it latest edition? Did all the pages print ok including barcode at the bottom of every page? Did you provide all the information? Did you include latest tax return transcript?
  3. Usually 3 years of history when filing under 3 year rule. How long have you been an LPR? Were you LPR when you had those long trips? When was the last long trip?
  4. Bonus point. If she ever seeked political asylum from China she likely cannot go back to China without complicating future naturalization in the US.
  5. Time to celebrate! Congratulations! Cannot wait to get mine approved 😅
  6. Where is the town? If you're travelling domestically in USA, there's no need for passport. A valid driver license or state ID (preferably REAL ID) is all you need. If travelling internationally by air, all travellers need passports. US citizen needs a valid US passport. Green Card holder needs valid passport from their country of citizenship. Green card and extension letter are in addition to passport.
  7. I agree that trying to work things out should be the first step. @JPWJ Sue if you cannot get it resolved and don't get the job. It's an easy case to win provided you have evidence in writing they refused to accept the documents. If you can, in addition to verbal communication, at least exchange emails with HR explaining why your docs should be accepted.
  8. Today's WAC update for 24XXX range as of 12:20 PT: 4 x new approvals in lower range 3 x new approvals in upper range
  9. Green card (plastic) may be taken away when getting I-551 stamp. Extension letter doesn't extend stamps, only plastic GC.
  10. Sometimes RFE is followed by NOID or denial if you don't give everything USCIS needs.
  11. I see cases like this from time to time in case tracker. For example, majority of WAC filers in November 2021 got their biometrics reused in April 2022. Some were stuck on "Case received" until December 2022, when their biometrics got reused. Some are still stuck on that status. Is this unique to your case? No. It usually means more delays...
  12. In addition to those rules, you need to make sure you didn't brake continuous residence, spent enough time in the US (physical presence) and have good moral character (no deportable offences, paid taxes etc).
  13. Ignore the property sale and purchase. As long as you make enough money according to https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p, you are fine.
  14. And that may be intentional. More people approved quickly means more people with conditional GCs means more I-751
  15. Well, the only thing that matters is that you make enough for sponsoring (I-864). Usually USCIS favors active income over assets etc. You can always have a joint sponsor if you don't meet the requirements.
  16. You can download all of them for free on official IRS website, if that's what you mean. There are different statements available, you need tax return transcripts. Printouts of those are accepted, yes.
  17. Agreed, already suggested: Clearly there's at least a problem with not submitting all pages of support documents.
  18. She could have shown unrestricted social security card and valid driver's license or state ID. No need to show green card for I-9 validation. It's illegal for employer to demand a particular document if you can present List B + C documents. https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/form-i-9-acceptable-documents
  19. You could have submitted medical with initial packet and not wait for RFE... Did you do biometrics already? The problem is, OP has to send the old passport back now. Based on the news from the UK, it will take a while to get the new passport. @ljatw1 have you explored getting an emergency passport? Are you eligible for one? Maybe it could serve as temporary proof of ID. For medical, UK driver's license should be OK. But for biometrics appointment - do not remember, but they ask about nationality.
  20. Fantastic @Lizzie123, congratulations on becoming a US citizen! Thank you for sharing the experience.
  21. Your stress is understandable, however you should have not planned any trips before having extension in hand. Do not leave the US without extension letter or ADIT (I-551) stamp in your passport, because you will get stuck overseas. You won't be allowed to board a plane without right documentation. You can call USCIS and request Infopass. You may or may not get one, depending how convincing and persistent you are.
  22. No, why? She's leaving the US, all she needs is to show she can enter Philippines. And with Philippines passport, she can prove it. Entering US would also be possible with endorsed stamp that is valid for a year. If she decides to move back, she can do it while the stamp is valid. Not sure if failing to attend TB appointment would immediately invalidate endorsed immigrant visa though.
  23. I was month to month when added wife to the lease. Still am. ^^ the chance of this happening is relatively small. But if this happens and answer from landlord / receptionist / manager is that only you spouse lives there, you may be in trouble. Also, how would you prove to IO you live at same address? Bills is one thing. Do you at least have IDs / DLs with matching address?
  24. Usually yes, extension (actually 48 month nowadays) should come first. However, I wouldn't be suprised if it was sent same day as other letters and it was USPS taking its time. If it doesn't show within six weeks of filing, you can file https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDDForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=ndd
