We see average of 15 months for US Citizens' I-130. Could be longer, could be shorter.

Do you have a different joint sponsor who is not self employed? The problem with self employed sponsors is that many minimize their taxes which hurts their ability to sponsor.

If you filed in July 2024, then expect about 15 months until I-130 is approved. So it lands you in October or November of 2025. It could take more or less. After approval, add another 2-3 months to get actual visa in passport. So we're talking about January-February 2026 potentially. As @Edward and Jaycel said, MyProgress is extremely inaccurate. It's just random numbers showing there all the time. Can your husband visit you? Or can you meet in a third country? A summer getaway together, if you can afford it, is a cool thing to do.

ROC can take 3-4 years (if not applying for naturalization). 48 month extension letters are given for a reason.

I-130s take about 15 months for US citizens. Add another 2-3 months to convert your case from LPR to US citizen. We're talking about 18 months, so August -September 2025. I assume you notified USCIS about becoming a citizen for the pending I-130?

Part 5. Info about children. It asks for A-number for each child. Social Security number is not something asked on I-751 and isn't related / required for I-751. As to account, daughter's case is related to mother's case. Progress can be tracked in mother's USCIS account. When conditions are removed for mother, at same time conditions will be removed for child. Child's conditions depend on mother's petition.

In 2024 some waited up to 10 weeks to get receipt in mail.

As far as I know, you only file one I-751 petition and pay $750. 1a is the answer for basis of petition. List child in the Part 5 and check box Yes for question 11 - Is this child applying with you? Make sure your wife takes part in filling I-751. It's her and her daughter's petition. She needs to know all the answers as she ultimately responsible for all of them. You as a US citizen only sign petition in Part 8. All other info on the from is from your wife's point of view and knowledge.

It's not unusual for packet to take 4-8 weeks to be processed until you get receipt in the mail. Don't forget, a month ago was Christmas. Then followed shortly by New Year and January 9th. At least those three days USCIS was closed.

It disappears and appears independently for many cases sitting still without any updates. Hopefully Emma told you some real information, half of the time it's made up. Current processing times for Philadelphia is 7.5 months - https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ While that information is also super unreliable, most of the times cases take at least the stated processing time. So for Philadelphia filers in November 2024, I wouldn't expect many interviews until 6-7 months into the process, which lands us in May-June of 2025. Good luck and keep us posted!

Where there is a will, there is a way. If you're asking whether your case will be approved without meeting again... Technically, yes, it can get approved. We cannot give any solid predictions. But in general, marrying somebody without seeing them at least few times in person is a risk, both immigration wise and life wise. It's in your own benefit to meet them again. Once you get 10 year GC with new name or naturalize, you can go to SSA and update the name there. Meanwhile mismatch is OK.

This is pretty normal for N-400 and definitely for N-400 with pending I-751.

No, you have to update it with SSA yourself. I would have recommended waiting until naturalization for the name change if you asked before I-751 was filed.
