  1. ^^ No need to worry, it can take 4-8 weeks to get your notice. It's only been a week!
  2. Make sure consider this when she's applying for citizenship. One can argue her "residency clock got reset" after 6 months of absense and she should count eligibility (3 or 5 years) starting the day she was back in the US after that trip.
  3. This is not something immigration would like. The first marriage will also be percieved in this light.
  4. Agreed, though "the tourist visa -> quick marriage -> AOS -> domestic violence same month as petitions filed" is a bit dirty IMHO. That's why I said IMHO
  5. IMHO I-130 dies when marriage dies in most cases. And so I-485. Unless there's WAVA. Which is not in this case. OP's story doesn't look like IO would be thrilled to approve it even if victim spouse somehow supported it.
  6. Has any of her trips lasted longer than 6 months? It's a tricky question to answer, but I guess it should be answered "yes" if she spent majority of her time in Ecuador.
  7. GC in hand! Was placed in mailbox despite one online and one in-person hold mail requests. It's crazy to receive GC on the day of moving out. Lesson for everybody I guess: cannot rely on Hold Mail, forwarding or USPS intercept. Happy end (for now, until N-400 😃)
  8. USPS update: Your item is out for delivery on August 19, 2023 at 6:10 am Really??? Argh! Despite Hold Mail it might get delivered to apartment building. Ok, challenge accepted 😅
  9. May take a few weeks for USCIS to acknowledge your receiving your evidence and a couple of months until you get decision. How much evidence did you sens this time and what timeframe did it cover?
  10. Update: According to USPS status, GC arrived at Post Office this morning. I hope they hold it there for me to pick us I requested!
  11. There's a new design for Green Cards. Fingerprints were removed from the card. Seems like you're fine.
  12. @clang890 you're supposed to file AR-11 within 10 days of moving. Your USC spouse (sponsor) should file I-865 within 30 days of moving.
  13. Setup SMS and email alerts. If it's out for delivery will be waiting for mail man and / or leave note for him. Otherwise will pick up from office.
  14. Yep, big city. Easily coming at ridiculous times. I've seen my mail man so late that I questioned my sanity.
  15. I put Hold Mail request, so don't anticipate mail man having the package with them. Also they come randomly anywhere between 7-8 am and 8-9 pm
  16. It happens to small percentage of cases, maybe 5-10%. Approvals with USCIS are very unpredictable.
  17. Ahaha yes we're getting closer. Got tracking number. Not on USCIS website, just a text message by USPS about package coming this Saturday (the day of move haha) USPS intercept did not work with this tracking number. Got message: "Unfortunately, this item is ineligible for USPS package intercept". Tried adding delivering instructions, also got error. So hoping hold will work.
  18. I'm sorry about your situation, massive layoffs s**k! You can live outside of the US indefinitely. You're a US citizen and have the right to live anywhere and comeback to the US any time. You may be asked questions, but you cannot be denied entry or denaturalized on spot. Ain't happening!
  19. You have to show original, it's watermarked. You can try showing a copy and be lucky. But if you're not lucky, you won't board a plane.
  20. Hi @Fer Schvarztman I'm sorry you're going through separation and heading towards divorce. You don't want to wait for the ROC interview. You may be approved for 10 year GC without interview. If this happens, you could have big problems at later stage, during naturalization. You may be accused of fraud or misrepresentation. You need to file for divorce and convert your petition to divorce waiver by notifying USCIS. How long a typical divorce would take in your state? Did you consult a family lawyer?
  21. Interestingly, USCIS website mentions USPS Hold Mail service: Holding my fingers crossed this is going to work!
  22. Thank you very much @Olga&Jared! Your approval will also eventually come, holding finger crossed it's going to be soon! I was already entertaining the possibility of filing writ of mandamus, but somehow got lucky 🙂
