  1. Thanks for sharing your experience and congratulations on getting Nexus! I fortunately had a much smoother experience with Global Entry interview, and I got it while on non immigrant visa (country was OK for GE). I guess Nexus has higher requirements for residence etc.
  2. Send everything you have. You can and should ask for a copy of everything sent to USCIS from your lawyer. And yes, reviewing before sending would have been nice. I always did that when filing with a lawyer. In my opinion, your lawyer should own their mistakes (if any) and help with RFE for free.
  3. I don't believe online is evidently faster or slower than mail filing. Each case is unique. Online or mail filing is only one variable in the process. We don't know who gets assigned the case and how busy they are, how quickly they work etc etc. Unfortunately USCIS does not publish N-400 statistics for each type of filing. While mail can get lost, don't forget how glitchy USCIS online systems are. I'm not surprised if a anything uploaded / submitted can get corrupt or lost in USCIS online system. Again, there's no proof of upload that you get as far as I know. If USCIS says you never replied to their RFE online, how would you prove you did? With mail, at least you can have certified mail. I'm not saying online or mail is better. Either has advantages and disadvantages.
  4. Add 3-5 days after window opens and you won't even notice it. It will ensure your N-400 is not going to get rejected.
  5. It's not strange. I-751 instructions ask for evidence from start of marriage. It's normal. Maybe some of your file got lost. Maybe it's locked in a cave and they think it would be faster if you sent them all the evidence versus trying to retreive it.
  6. I would file as soon as possible if he's late already. It doesn't matter whether it's before OE after filing I-751.
  7. How much evidence did you submit and what kind? Depending on that and when you filed I-751, they may want to see more evidence. Things that trigger RFE the most: - Partial information (sending one or few pages of bank statements / other documents instead of full document) - Missing evidence (no financial comingling evidence or no lease information etc) - Not covering entire period of time. I-751 asks for evidence from start of marriage until I-751 was filed. Plus anything new since you filed I-751 because you got RFE now.
  8. Yes, can travel with expired GC + extension letter + valid passport. For I-9 verification at work, it's best to show unrestricted social security card and state ID / DL
  9. Whoever filed I-864 when OP filed forms for GC remains a sponsor until OP becomes a citizen or earns 40 quarters of social security credits. When sponsors move they must file I-865. LPRs file AR-11.
  10. Not an issue at all. Sorry you had to wait for 2 hours. When I did my biometrics pre pandemic, it took no more than 10 minutes.
  11. AR-11 is always about your physical location (where you sleep at night) more than what you own / where you have lease.
  12. The AR-11 and I-865 should be filed based on dates you actually moved. Dates of lease starting / ending is a different thing. USCIS is concerned about your physical location, not paperwork. Yes, all sponsors must file I-865 within 30 days of moving. You can only be responsible for yourself by filing AR-11. You cannot force other people to file I-865, though they're required. P.S. Don't worry about it too much. It's better to file late than never.
  13. It's possible they take money and then reject packet for incorrect fees. That's mean but USCIS can do it.
  14. Hard to tell, why did you wait until last minute to file? Good luck and give us an update when you find out.
  15. Can be printed. As long as it's signed it's OK. I provided few for my I-751. It needs to be notarized or at least you need to provide a copy of person's ID.
  16. Your I-751 is now in different queue. It's impossible to tell how long it would take. The good news is, you can file Write of Mandamus to get decision on both I-751 and N-400 if you don't hear anything from USCIS 60 days after your interview.
  17. It's way too close to 180 days, I wouldn't be suprised if officer asked about ties to the US during this trip.
  18. @Fiance1 did you fiance complete DS-3025? If the exam was marked completed , then you can send a copy with AOS and no I-693 is needed. If DS-3025 was not checked completed, then yes new exam is needed.
  19. Even if you could use this payment in your income, you'd be too close to below the requirement. Joint sponsor is the way to go in my opinion.
  20. I hope you get somebody adequate helping you at the check in. Good luck!
