Hello hive mind! This is our situation.
We reside together in the UK, over 3 years together, 2 living together
We are not yet married.
I already own a farm in PA that my ill (cancer) father lives at (I really should be there caring for him but physically cannot).
I am in the process of purchasing a home in Las vegas, where we will live.
I am UK employed, but on income protection insurance, I have been for over 5 years, but my income comes through HR, is taxed just as if I were physically working, I get payslips etc .
I am disabled, that is why income insurance, and he is my carer and I can't function my daily tasks without his assistance.
Trying to figure out the quickest way to get a visa, and trying to be in the new house by the end of the year.
If we get married and go for spousal visa, can he visit? What is the current timeline?
Is fiancé visa quicker/better option?
With me owning 2 properties, one outright, what kind of income do I need to show and does it have to be a US employer or can it be my UK wages?
Are we able to get married, file for the appropriate spousal visa, and just move into our new home if we don't get it approval in time, and wait it out there? I know he cannot work until the visa comes though?
Sorry, I'm very naive on this, and tried to piece together things from this site, but don't understand all the acronyms, visa categories, and so forth.
Any advice is much appreciated! Any info I've written that is not allowed is completely unintentional, so apologies if that has happened.
