  1. Welp, I did it. I took the last steps of getting any movement on my case today. First, I called USCIS, said "INFO PASS" and waited about 10 minutes for an agent. When I finally got someone they couldn't hear me. So I took my earbuds out and called again. Only this time the agent couldn't hear me. I made a phone call to my mother before USCIS and my best friend after and both could hear me just fine. I swear. Second, I was advised in our Whatsapp group to ask Emma for a LIVE CHAT through the USCIS website. The agent was no help and told me that because I submitted my 'outside of normal processing time' inquiry less than 30 days ago I cannot inquire again for 30 days. She also reminded me what USCIS has responded to the inquiry, telling me to wait the 45 days. I tried to plead with her to get a tier 2 agent or supervisor but no such luck. Lastly, I emailed the ombudsman. If anyone needs to do that here is the link: https://www.dhs.gov/topic/cis-ombudsman/forms/7001#no-back You fill out a form and submit attached documents pertaining to your case. Took me about an hour to get everything prepared, you can tell they want you to get frustrated and give up, just like any government agency. See it though. To the bitter end! So that is it. I will keep you guys posted if I hear anything but I am done. I have to be. I am losing my damn mind over this more and more with each passing day. Asking for all the thoughts and prayers!!! Thank you!!! 🙏❣️
  2. We appreciate all the scans and updates you have provided for us, thank you so much! As of the last scan there are 200 untouched August cases. We have all reached 'outside of normal processing time' and submitted inquiries. At this stage its safe to say we are all on own from here. I wish you the best of luck with the remainder of your visa journey!
  3. Rosalea! Don't lose hope! I was able to submit our outside of normal processing time inquiry yesterday (day 506 from receipt date 8/30/2021) and received an email response from USCIS that my case was being adjudicated and we would receive a notice of action within 45 days. (March 4th 2023) 2 couples who filed before me in August just received NOA2 yesterday, hang in there!!!!
  4. Perfect. My senators office is due to check on our case January 30th which is only 11 short days away 🤞
  5. Just wanted to drop an update here as I filed during the very end of Aug 2021. We hit 506 days and outside of normal processing time. I was able to submit and inquiry and was sent an email stating we would receive a notice of action within 45 days (March 4th 2023) I will keep you all posted. Hang in there everyone! 2 couples who filed before me in August just received NOA2 yesterday. We are getting there, slowly but surely!
  6. Wow that is great news and gives me hope! Congrats to you both! Did either of you contact USCIS for being outside of normal processing times or did you just wait it out?
  7. UPDATE: Today is day 506 and we are considered 'outside of normal processing time' so I was able to submit an inquiry through the USCIS website. I received an email with a generic response: "Your case is currently being adjudicated. You should receive a notice of action within 45 days." On December 1, 2022 I was notified by congress that my case had been assigned to a case worker. That was 48 days ago. I contacted congress again to let them know I submitted an inquiry and if they had any updates. They responded: "I am due to inquire about the status of you case on January 30th 2023." That is 12 days from today. 45 days from today is March 4th. How much longer are we expected to wait? I am feeling so defeated 😞
  8. Has anyone here submitted an inquiry for 'outside of normal processing time'? It says I can inquire next Friday but I am thinking of inquiring sooner. Today is day 497 😥
  9. Thank you for all your posts! Enjoy your vacation! Has anyone here had to file an 'Outside of normal processing time' inquiry? I can submit one 2 weeks from today.
  10. Easy for you to say, you are an October filer who's already been approved. Must be nice. 😞 Beyond hopeless.
  11. It's more than annoying, it's soul crushing. I'm sure I am not the only one spending the holiday season alone, depressed and almost ready to give up. They barely touched my group (130500) this week with 62 untouched I am starting to really lose hope. I am such a positive person. I try to see the silver lining in all situations. But this one really has me questioning my faith in everything I thought I knew to be real. I may sound dramatic but I'm tired, I'm heartbroken, I'm lonely. And believe me his situation in a third world country is much much worse. I would have just moved there and started a new life with him if that was possible. Please keep us in your prayers. Thank you.
  12. It seems so cruel to leave those in bad situations for last, no we don't think we are special but to leave us for last is just wrong. 😭
  13. Bro I feel you I'm August and still waiting....my anxiety is at an all time high.
  14. A VERY long wait. The mail will be your NOA 1 receipt, save this! Good luck!
  15. Yeah I had a feeling this is when it would be generally brought up. I think as long as we are prepared to be questioned it hopefully shouldn't become an issue, fingers crossed! 🤞
  16. IF and WHEN we get to this step they will all be thoroughly covered for sure!
  17. Gotcha. Makes sense, thanks for the info. We both have clean records, never been arrested etc...hopefully all of that factors into the decision. After reading that last post I took photos of all my fiancés tattoos during my last visit just incase anything comes up as questionable during this process.
