  1. Congratulations!! 17 months is crazy but it’s all behind you!! Wishing you smooth sailing from here out on!
  2. It was pretty quick for us - passport was ready in 2 days for pick up but this was in October
  3. @ariendj I replied once already but somehow don’t see the reply posted so here is the short and sweet version: refer to this link, I found it tremendously helpful for my parents interview https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/BMB-Mumbai.html
  4. My dad had his IR5 interview yesterday at Mumbai consulate. He was asked for transcripts and W2s as well. A lot of questions too - not complicated questions but a lot of questions. My mom was asked three questions vs. he was asked at least a dozen.
  5. Yes, I contacted my senator’s office. I don’t know how much it helped but it can’t hurt!
  6. Hang in there, mine took exactly 10 months and I understand the waiting is very frustrating - yours should come through soon enough!!
  7. I booked biometric for my dad and while it didn’t show any apptments at Mumbai consulate on chrome, it showed ample apptments when I used IE. try using another browser and see if you have better luck.
  8. Quick update on IR5 (parent of a us citizen) DQed April 14 IL august 11 interview date oct 12 mumbai consulate seems to be moving quickly through cases
  9. Hoping to understand the latest interview backlog for IR5. Waiting for my dad’s. If your parent is interviewing soon or has interviewed recently, please tell me when they DQed. Thanks a ton
  10. Can anyone help me with current IL timelines for IR5? Please help with interview date and DQ date. My dad DQed in April. Thank you!
  11. Your congressman/ state senator will have specific section on their website for helping with a federal agency. My senator had an online form I needed to fill and they contacted me for further details like case I’d etc and then sent an inquiry in. Congressman had a physical form they needed me to send in using USPS but process after that was similar. pick any one of the senators or congressmen and start the process. Don’t send it to multiple - uscis will notify them of duplicate inquiries.
  12. To help everyone here with the PSC timelines: My I824 took exactly 10 months to get approved by the Potomac service center. I had my congreewoman and senator inquire on my behalf on a regular basis. Dont know if that did much but if you are waiting, it couldnt hurt to do that.
