  1. Wait, sorry, I don't get what you mean? As of now, I don't have my divorce decree yet, but I still need to notify them? Okay, I just re-read your post and you mean the copy of divorce filing, not the decree. So I should write to them as soon as I receive my green card and the approval notice, correct? My question is: Should I include more evidence? Or just those 3 pieces of documents? Thank you!
  2. So you're suggesting I write paper mail, correct? Should I include more evidence such as bank statements, tax return, pictures, etc. up to the date when the divorce was filed (not finalized)?
  3. Okay. I agree with you on this. How do you think I should contact them? And what documents should I submit? Thank you!
  4. May I ask why? In your opinion, what I should do? Can you tell me what it is?
  5. Nothing. I didn't. Now, my attorney told me that when I attend the citizenship interview, there would be 2 scenarios. The first one is they won't ask anything about my marriage, so in this case, I don't have to worry, just answer the history questions. For the second one, if the officer asks me about my marriage, I would tell them that my divorce was not finalized, I didn't have the divorce decree, then proceed to prove them our marriage was entered in good faith.
  6. Just an update. New Card Is Being Produced on 06/21/2023 Case was Approved on 06/22/2023 No interview, No RFE. My divorce case has not been finalized yet; I'm still waiting for the final decree from the court. Hoping to get it in September.
  7. I just talked to my attorney about my current living place. She's gonna file AR-11 for me.
  8. Correct. I moved out and no longer live at the shared marital residence The attorney didn't say anything about this. She didn't ask me if I left the place we lived together. Should I bring this up to her?
  9. Thank you everyone for all the valuable advice. I surely believe my soon-to-be-ex-wife will not show up at the interview if I have one. I understand one thing is that I should not file an i-751 with a divorce waiver at this point. But should I notify USCIS in a different method? Like writing a mail, or make a service request? Of course I don't want to withhold any information, I don't want to hide anything. I can admit to USCIS that my marriage is not working and a divorce is initiated. I just don't know what is the right thing to do
  10. I just talked to my lawyer. She said that I should wait until I get the divorce decree, then notify USCIS. Then, act according to USCIS's response. If I get lucky and get approved before receiving the divorce decree, then I don't have to do anything. If I am scheduled to have an interview, just go and notify them at the interview. is what my lawyer said making sense?
  11. Thank you everyone for all the advice! Just want to update: My wife has filed a divorce. I'm expecting to receive the divorce decree in 5-6 months. Should I make a service request to notify USCIS right away? Or should I wait for another 2 months? Should I write a mail to USCIS explaining what happened? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
  12. Hello everyone, My wife (USC) and I jointly filed i-751 in Nov, 2021. Now she's filing a divorce (her lawyer hasn't submitted our case to the court yet). I had a lawyer file i-751 for in Nov, 2021. Now, the lawyer told me that when my wife files a divorce, I need to make a service request to USCIS to notify them of the situation. From there, if USCIS denies my case, I will then need to file another i-751 with a divorce waiver; or I need to act depending on what USCIS wants me to do. I'm expecting to get a divorce decree 3 months once our divorce case is submitted to the court. The question is: - Should I make a service request while waiting for the divorce decree? - Is there any possibility that I get deported if my i-751 gets denied? - What else can I do? Side note, when I filed joint i-751. I believe I had submitted pretty solid evidence for our marriage. - Bank Statements - Pictures - Phone bills - Car title with both names - Car insurance with both names - Tax return Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
  13. Thank you and yes, my receipt number looks something like MSC22900xxxxx, my priority date is Nov 13th Thank you so much for the help. If possible, can you show me how to check?
  14. Can you help me do the same to MSC? To my understanding, the receipt number looks something like MSC1122334455 (3 letters + 10 digits). When you said 21xxx, is it the first 5 digits or the last 5 digits? I'm wondering how MSC is processing i-751
