  1. I think if you can show the embassy you have sole legal custody of the new born it may possible to move ahead without your husband but it's only a maybe. Since I assume, from your wording, that you're both still legally married. It's up to the consular officers discretion. If not, it's best you consult a lawyer.
  2. UPDATE: Well, thats not a great response. So, I just paid again. Let’s see what happens in 2-3 business days.
  3. I tried searching on here and google for this same issue and all I found was a few people who just kept paying over and over again after getting rejected multiple times. They never updated on what happened after or how it was resolved or if even they got refunds for the multiple payments.
  4. Has this happened to anyone else? This morning I received an email from NVC that both fees were rejected. Then like a couple hours later we were DQ’d. So confused. I paid 2 weeks ago and the payments were cleared. Already sent an inquiry to NVC with screenshots from my bank of the payments. I’m thinking NVC has system issues.
  5. I know. I made the payment 2 weeks ago. I'm just really confused. Check this out. Over an 2 hours later we were DQ'd. So was the payment accepted or rejected? Must be an NVC system issue.
  6. Everything was going to great for us so far then today I got this email. Not a great start to the morning. My bank account does show NVC deducted the money. So I send an inquiry with screenshots of the transactions. Hopefully this gets resolved quickly.
  7. I have some great news to share. Our petition was just approved today. We are very excited 😄. After nearly a year long wait, we are now one step closer.
  8. @seekingthetruth I've already contacted the school I plan on enrolling my daughter into and an immunization record is required for California schools. The school had no experience with this so they couldn't help me. Still waiting for a reply from the school district.
  9. Hey everyone, This question is specifically for parents of children born outside the US. Background Info: We'll be living in California She is currently 4 yrs old (maybe 5+ by the time my wife gets her IR1 VISA lol) My child was born in Thailand Already has her US passport and CRBA, so no VISA or medical exam required. When you enrolled your child (or children) into school, how did you handle the immunization records requirement? Should I get a doctor in Thailand to translate it? Will the school accept a translation? Tried researching on Google with no avail. All I have is this "pink book" the doctor fills out every time we go in for my daughter's vaccinations, all in Thai and I can't read it lol.
  10. Not sure where you got this info but according to the USCIS website you can only mail it to an USCIS Lockbox in your area.
  11. My answer would be "no", you cannot use child support as supplemental income. The underling purpose of child support payments is to ensure children receive the same proportion of parental income, and thereby enjoy the standard of living they would have experienced had their parents remained together. It's intended to benefit the child, NOT the sponsored immigrant. Just my thoughts. Whether you really can or not, I don't know. Hopefully, your normal income is sufficient. Otherwise, I suggest getting a joint sponsor.
