  1. So would not needing a new one because her medical and vaccinations are still valid mean that we don't have to file I-693? Thanks for the clarification.
  2. Hello immigration community, thanks for all the support on here! I have a question. My fiance and I got married a few weeks ago after she arrived to the USA on the k1 visa. Before arriving here and a few months ago, she had undergone a medical evaluation and all the required vaccinations for the visa. Now that we are filling out the adjustment status, we are not in agreement whether we need to submit form I-693 or not. She says that we don't need to file form I-693 because her overseas vaccination report has not expired yet. I think we have to file it anyway because it is on the Visa Journey AOS checklist. Could someone please point us in the right direction and provide an explanation? Regards.
  3. Hello immigration community, anyone else have the problem of the USCIS online change of address tool rejecting all change of address requests? I have tried multiple times in the last week for my k1 visa since moving to a new apartment. I always double check my entry of the address, receipt number taken from the NOA1 and NOA 2 and my A number to no avail. I attempted to contact USCIS but they don't take calls and their live chat feature has been down. My fiance is having her medical tomorrow and her interview in a week. Any idea on how to resolve the issue? Thank you!
  4. Hello immigration, thanks for all the help on this forum. I have a follow-up question about pursuing a police clearance from Qatar. Our contacts are telling us we need a Qatar ID (QID) in order to get a police clearance. My fiance doesn't have a QID. She went on a business visa for 6-months a few years ago and she had already left. She was over the age of 16 during her stay. Could anyone provide guidance on how to get a police clearance in this situation, and is it possible to get a QID for a previous stay? I have tried sending an e-mail and calling the embassy but no reply as of right now.
  5. Thank you Boiler, Mike and Scott for the replies. I think we will pursue a police clearance even though there is a chance we won't need it, just to be safe.
  6. Hello visa journey community, I have a question about when a police clearance is needed. My Filipina fiance worked in Qatar for a little more than 6 months about 5 years ago. At the time she was over the age of 16 and had a clean record in Qatar. Do we need a police clearance in Qatar? I researched and some people said if over 6 months while others said if over 12 months. Thank you so much for all the help on this website. We filed our NOA 1 on July 28, 2022 and got the NOA 2 on July 29, 2023.
  7. Hello immigration community, could my fiance travel as a tourist (visitor visa) to other countries as we wait for our NOA2? She is from the Philippines and wants to go visit her sister in Qatar for a few months and perhaps get a part-time job in the country while she is with her sister. I want her to feel and be productive and want to say yes to it. I'm also trying to be careful that we won't trigger any unseen issues. Any thoughts? Sorry if the question seems silly. I'm just being cautious. Thank you very much.
  8. Hello Visa Journey community, this website has been a great resource and I have another question as we wait for NOA2. I believe the following question was asked before but had trouble finding the answer using the search function. 1) Could I start gathering documents for the affidavit of support prior to receiving NOA2? Would the embassy accept pay stubs 3 months before the NOA 2 was issued for example? I just want to reduce the processing time through preparation. 2) I might as well also ask this. Later down the road, Is there "premium" processing for the employment authorization (I-765) for a K-1 fiance visa applicant? After searching the USCIS website, it does say I-129F but it's not clear as I scan further down. Thank you so much!
