  1. Forgive me but do the children, my stepchildren, receive Green cards at 6 and 9 years old or just my wife? So is the charge $220 X 3 totaling $660 or just one charge of $220? Last question. Do the children attend the interview? I read where Derivatives under age 14 do not but they aren’t Derivatives, are they?
  2. Finally!!! We have our Manila Embassy Interviews scheduled. My questions now are basic, just want to Triple Check the process. We signed up to have my wife’s and 2 stepchildren’s Visas delivered to our home here in metroManila. While the delivery address is confirmed on our Interview Conformation Email from the Embassy we haven’t paid for the delivery service yet unless it was already included in other fees we paid. How does this payment get made? Additionally, I thought I read there was another charge of $220 each for the Visa’s. If that’s correct how, where do I pay that fee? many thanks, Marc
  3. Chancy, Mary I finally filed a request to Expedite my DQ’d stepchildren from NVC to USEM as my wife has already been scheduled for her Interview. I had asked my Senator to get involved and they contacted the Embassy to no avail. Talk about government bureaucracy, the children are only 6 & 9 so they won’t really be interviewed yet the response my Senator’s office received basically goes like this: NVC holds the Applicants until the Embassy requests more Files and the Embassy can’t do anything until they receive the files. Sounds like Catch 22, doesn’t it. I should have filed the Expedite request when Chancy suggested but I didn’t want to interfere with the Senators office. If I get nowhere here than I think my only resort is to call the Senator (25 year friend) and ask him to contact the Embassy directly. Before becoming a Senator he was the Japanese Ambassador. That’s a big ask even though we’re friends, what do you think? If it takes as long for the kids to get to the Interview as my wife I’m looking at another 3-4 months. From DQ to interview my wife was 140 days.
  4. My US Senator sent a message to NVC Tuesday Feb 21st re my stepchildren. They were supposed to be merged with my wife’s filing back in August 2022 when I first go my Senator involved. I can’t contact NVC because his office is involved. My wife has her Medical Scheduled on this Friday morning. Again we’re going to push forward thinking we’ll be better off if she goes ahead and gets her Visa rather than waiting. If something happened and I needed to go to the USA for medical care at least she could come with me but unless there’s an emergency we won’t leave the kids behind. Thanks to all for advice and support.
  5. Congratulations Mary!!! We also were finally able to schedule our interview today, February 21st also for March 6th, early AM. The bad news is my 2 young, 6 & 9 yo stepchildren are still at NVC, DQ’d but not yet released to the Embassy. We will keep trying to get them expedited but may need to reschedule wife’s interview or just let her go ahead and get her Visa now. I’m thinking it might be foolish to delay hers but it might help to get NVC to hurry up. Thoughts?
  6. Thomas we received the Email February 3rd and still unable to schedule an Interview. Called twice and requested escalation and still no movement. Keep trying, we are all very close at this stage.
  7. My Filipina Wife was DQ’d on October 14, 2022. On January 10, 2023 we were notified by the NVC that the US Embassy in Manila has Approved our request for Expedited Processing of our Immigrant Visa Application. We never asked for it to be Expedited (Is this normal) however, how long should we expect to wait before we hear from the Embassy? How much time from Notification to Interview Date.
