Sofa visa/ command sponsor for Japan

My husband got recently selected to PCS to Misawa Japan and will be moving there in September of this year. I am Philippine national, and still have not completed the "green card" process, so i don't have yet a US Visa/Passport. What are the procedures for me to enter/get through customs in Japan? Can i travel without a SOFA stamp, just using spouse military ID, Orders of my husband and my Philippine Passport? Or does I need to have a "SOFA" stamp on my Philippine passport?
