I did live scan and got my results in 24 hours. ...been using them for years for different reasons. Also fast results and less than 100 bucks.

Hey is it me or are the estimates getting shorter? I believe that most of the ones I was seeing were originally Dec, then Nov, then Oct and now Sept ....anyone else seeing a happy trend here?

I am not by any means an expert and maybe you already have your answer but that doesnt sound like something you need to send in a correction for. Some of the more experienced people can jump in and clarify if I am wrong.

Thank you, I was thinking the same thing but wanted to be sure. I have a few rental properties (with mortgages) and I was not sure just how far down the rabbit hole they go as far as finances are concerned. Thanks again.

I have been reading through the financial requirements and while I am feeling confident that I wouldn't be impacted it occurred to me to ask. When they are calculating your finances and ability to take care of your foreign fiancé are debts like mortgages, credit cards bills, etc counted as well? Those things change disposable income and ability to take care of dependents no?

I dont think any of us is going to hear anything until late this summer. I do see that the estimate has moved up about a month since we first filed. It was previously in Nov 2023 now the new estimates are all in Oct so that is good news I guess lol

yeah I am super paranoid that I might have forgotten something from a hundred years ago. I wrote what I could remember, I got official certified records where there was one and a letter from the court showing no records for anything that I thought I remembered but was dismissed. I even went to family court and got the court dismissal for the fake order of protection from my ex and sent that. We have an age gap and i have been married before but have known each other over 5 years and have many photos over that period of time together but this is the one thing that drive me bananas. I am licensed to carry, hold state licenses and can pass any background check but still, I am paranoid that I will have a bounced check from 30 years back that i forgot about and it will make me look like I am lying. I dont want to worry my partner but it is nerve wracking.

Those people are lying, I have been looking and asking everywhere. I doubt that seriously.

This is about what we were expecting. I am still trying to understand if that 15 months is the time before we should expect the NOA2 or the time we should anticipate before the interview?

This was very, very helpful. I speak with my fiance about the percieved challenges I anticipated but the day to day differences I imagine can be overwhelming. For intstance. I have only been unemployed once in my life for 3 months and it practically drove my bananas sitting at home searching for work. For a new person arriving here the sitting at home has to be worse because they cant accept a position even if there are 10 available. My fiance always comments that it takes so long for me to run errands or go places because where she lives it is a short trike ride away. I'll need to make sure that we go into a little more detail about these things. I work at home so she will not feel so alone but you are right, I do not always feel like going out after work and I imagine that she will be dying to explore if no other reason than to see some of the places she has seen me at on video calls.
