  1. What did you decide to do??
  2. Any idea how this is done? Do I just show up there with it?
  3. It’s finally in my hands 🥹 The interview went very well - around 50 minutes overall. They did not ask for nearly half of the documents I brought. And asked about a dozen questions - all the same as the ones on the group that have been shared previously in Montreal, Canada. But one thing I want to share is that they asked my petitioner’s pronouns before proceeding to ask the questions, which was extremely respectful and appreciated 🥺 My ticket number was also the same as my birthday (518), which I found to be a very cool coincidence. Overall, great experience. 4. Hi all, I was approved and my visa was sent to me today! I am well aware that the yellow envelope is not to be opened and I tried to cut open the postal envelope without cutting it but was not successful. I sliced about an inch of the yellow envelope but not documents inside were damaged. I put tape over it to avoid further damage. Will this amount of damage need a re-sealing or should it be fine? I e-mailed my consulate and am waiting for a reply. I also asked my consulate facebook group and so far all comments have said it will be okay.
  5. What about this? I understand this but - If they ask about the last 5 years, does the beyond matter? That’s more my question. If it’s not listed initially, it should be fine, no?
  6. Hi everyone. My interview is in December in Montreal and I am super scared of receiving the DS-5535. I just got news that a friend of mine received a DS-5535 from because the beneficiary in the case travelled to Israel and Jordan within the past 5 years, therefore was on his DS-160 and stamped in his passport. I went to Israel but 6 years ago, so it is not listed in the DS-160 nor is it stamped in my passport. There is no sign of my travels there throughout this application. Is there any other way they will know I went? It is outside the asked about 5-year span. Very scared.
  7. If it’s self-employment, what kind of supporting evidence can we provide?
  8. My petitioner fiancée has a second small job that she does via an app on the phone (Rover, to be exact). She gets taxed for it (obtains a 1099-k) past $600 (which she makes), will she need to put this job in the i-134? Also, there is no “contact address” for this job nor can she obtain an employment letter from it. Should we even bother adding it? If so, what do we put in as we fill the i134? And what evidence do we attach from it? She does have a main job, which we filled out for already and have supporting tax documentation and employment documentation.
  9. Just sending an update. I was approved June 14th (official date on my letter) and my case is at NVC. It is waiting to be put into their systems for a case number. I sent an inquiry at 30 days and got an answer back at 35 days with that information!
  10. Hi everyone, I am planning to import my car at the land border in a few months as I make my move. I have a 2019 Hyundai Elantra. I own the car and have paid it off. I have not done anything yet in terms of the paperwork, etc. and feel extremely overwhelmed. Can anyone please help me find an easy to understand and clear list of things that need to get done to import my vehicle? Thank you!
  11. Got approved yesterday, June 15th! NOA1: June 3rd, 2022 NOA2: June 15th, 2023 Days: 377 Range: 89000 Country: Canada
