  1. Maybe because they're inbetween-y, "Withdrawn" would be the better category? Then they can be acknowledged without being considered either approved or denied.
  2. You image isn't loading for me here, but I'm seeing the same thing! I'm hoping the improvements to the NVC side of things also keep up.
  3. Looks like you got NOA2 in January, this is the thread where people who got approved in January are talking about the next steps:
  4. Hi Ruth -- All the January 2022 filers will be discussing this in the January thread here:
  5. @Level-With-Me I'd echo what Boiler said above, here it is on the Jersey governement site: https://www.gov.je/Travel/InformationAdvice/Visitors/pages/visapassportrequirements.aspx#anchor-1 He has time, so I'd recommend getting an photo ID card (maybe a PASS card, but I'm not 100% sure).
  6. @Level-With-Me Regarding the Jersey thing, since you are going to be going through the London Embassy, you should be safe to compare your timeline & case to other UK cases, there's no part of the process that would be different. If you are still interested in finding more cases like yours, you could also look for beneficiaries who are from Guernsey or Isle of Man, which operate the same as Jersey. As far as the adoption thing, in the UK you actually don't need paperwork to change your name. You can change your name by "usage", so as long as that's the name he has used, that's his name. So even if the adoption paperwork is questionable, it shouldn't be impactful.
  7. @AHtothemoon Super interesting! My own (non-scientific) esitmate is currently at August 2nd, so pretty well in line with yours! Hopefully processing speeds keep up.
  8. @Pat2021 sorry your experience was so stressful, but I very much appreciate you sahring your experience!
  9. The footnotes on the data say "Forms Received are the number of new applications or petitions received and entered into a case-tracking system during the reporting period." We've seen cases that have the tracking statuses "Case Was Rejected Because It Was Improperly Filed" and "Case Rejected Because I Sent An Incorrect Fee", so I expect that those are included here.
  10. I noticed this too. If you look at the footnotes included with the data (like here), it has these two statements that would account for the difference: Some actions taken on cases are not reflected in this report such as administrative closures and transfers between offices; thus the total pending counts cannot be calculated using data from previous reporting periods. Forms received, completed (approved and denied), and pending counts may differ from counts reported in previously published reports due to processing delays and the time at which the data are queried, system updates, and post-adjudicative outcomes.
  11. I compiled the quarterly data since 2017 in case anyone finds it useful: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vQ-2DBEBeBMZ041TRFhsguzUmuMNHjfHE9IPrE8AgH_F_xuFPxEeUMXk8PVTpyhcLjBZQ6yXD8MD7gD/pubhtml Obviously this only goes up to September, so doesn't factor in recent improvements. I mainly pulled this to see what their max was before COVID, which was 1,226/week. To answer the official Approved + Denied values are different than the legendary 2021 spreadsheet, I suspect that it's primarily because this spreadsheet is only tracking the activity of cases that were opened in 2021. The 2022 cases that were withdrawn, expedited & approved, or immediately rejected (because they had the wrong fee or were improperly filed) would be captured in the offical processing numbers, but not the 2021 sheet. Likewise, any 2020 cases that had extended processing times would be in the official data, but not the 2021 sheet.
  12. From what I can piece together, you shouldn't have any trouble stretching out the process if you need to -- the 1-129f is valid for 4 months once approved, and the K-1 is valid up to 6 months (sounds like it's generally 6 months since the medical).
  13. All K1 filers being processed in California - people are scraping the actual updates from USCIS, so the data is not self-reported (a common misconception when this info is shared on other sites!).
  14. I've found both FB groups and reddit threads to be wildly inaccurate. As much as I don't enjoy the negativity in the VJ foums, that's just the reality of the situation right now.
  15. I've run into this issue too, as a petitioner living overseas. The online form doesn't allow foregin addresses, and I haven't been able to update on the phone. No solution yet, but please update if you find one!
